Then why did they release just Jill and Shuma together when marvel 3 was 3v3?

Because sense or not, it doesn't mean anything and they can do it anyway they want.

Because they only had 2 characters to offer instead of 6? On the other hand both of the base rosters for Vanilla and Ultimate were dividable by 6, hence you could split each side into even teams.

I promise you Capcom is not going to arbitrarily restrict themselves to only ever releasing characters in batches of 4 to match the games 2v2 format.

Here's the thing, since it's 2v2 they can just pair one from each side :p They already did that with Captain America and Morrigan (even if that was just for the trailer).
 
Marvel 3 preload on steam is up apparently, for those worried that it would be delayed for some reason
 
This talk about DLC characters has me wondering about the potential Special Edition of Infinite. We already know it's inevitable, so I'm interested to see if it'll be similar to Vanilla MVC3. In the SE of that, Shuma and Jill codes came with the game, though they couldn't be used until they were released. Still, it was nice.
 
I actually think Jill has a low chance. She has veteran status but her switch in RE5 has made her odd now.

I still sit at Regina stealing her MVC2 moveset with Dinos added.

They could just skin Out of Control Agent Venom who doesn't use guns but has them on him. I just think the spikes and the guns make him too much for a simple color swap.

Agent Toxin would work best as a skin as well. AntiVenom could be a color swap

Hybrid or Venom 2099 would be crazy but are not plausible inclusions....

No GDC news? Sad :( at least the next footage should actually contain gameplay to go over right? I mean they showed SFV so far out but this releases in 8 months...
 
Maybe they're taking the time to listen to early feedback and put [non-combo extending] assists back into the game. #optimism

I doubt it and I certainly hope not.

It's fine if they don't have anything in the state they want before showing. A news lull 8+ months out is not going to change anyone's purchasing decision by the time it comes out.

For Injustice 2, the almost weekly bits of new info is keeping people excited and engaged when it matters most in the 2-3 months leading up to release. I doubt anyone interested in the game is going to decide not to buy I2 because they remember not hearing anything for a few months the end of last year. Same thing here. Plenty of time.
 
I mean, all it's really saying is that they'll start talking about it after Ultimate comes out. Not that they'll start the 8th.
 
People have short memories btw, Injustice 2 went dark for months until the last couple of months they opened the reveal floodgates.
 
Didn't Injustice 2 have the full roster leak way in advance though? I understand the actual people behind it went silent but I thought the leak that ended up being true was floating out there long before the flood gates of information opened up.

I could very well be misremembering however, I haven't been following that game nearly as closely

I don't think they'd say anything if we weren't getting any information soon. With Kolin out Capcom isn't going to reveal the next DLC for SFV until April right? Maybe they'll alternate with MVCI and SFV starting this month? (wishful thinking)


Just please show us something before E3

That wouldn't be a bad idea from a marketing perspective.

People saying Capcom are waiting to start talking about Infinite again until after Ultimate's physical release seems bizarre to me.

They don't seem to be pushing the physical release hard at all. It's only at gamestop anyhow, not like it'll make that much money for them. Weird they've been quiet about it with the exception of that one tweet from Ono.

Hope they start releasing more info soon, but at the end of the day I just want them to put out a solid product however long it takes. I can wait for quality. Even if it gets pushed to 2018, I'd rather have something amazing than something mediocre.
 
Well the physical release shares the same date as the digital release for PC and Xbox One as well after all. So it makes a little sense for that to be out and then reveal some new characters to push some hype sales. Much like UMVC3 digital on PS4 got after the initial reveal.

What Capcom should do opposed to what they will/actually do can be completely different.
