I wonder if Viper will return...I mean, I think she would be an interesting addition to the story. I suppose she wouldn't have to be playable for that, though....
Ada would be interesting as wildcard for the story as well since I don't think they've ever revealed who she truly works for. An organization like that would certainly like to get its hands on the infinity gems wouldn't they?

Agreed. Chris and Wesker is basically Dante and Vergil at this point. Even if we only see one at first, the other is coming at some point.

I love Phoenix. If it were up to me, she'd return as just that without the Dark Phoenix gimmick. I'd make that some gem power-up or something.

RE2 and 4 were great, don't dislike the character. But given that Chris seems to be in the game, he needs her partner, Jill, to help him against Wesker (who's almost a locked character at this point)

I wouldn't mind jill sitting out depending on what look we get for Chris. If he's rocking an RE7 look, I'd like jill to sit as DLC until we get an idea of a new look for her. Wesker gets a pass for being dead, so he can look like his RE5 self.

If is not the STARS costume then the BSAA should be the chosen one, since we don't know anything about Jill in the RE timeline since Rev2.

No Dark Phoenix gimmick would be a god send to a lot of fans.
Though what would be interesting is if they let the player decide whether to have Dark Phoenix at character select as an option. Give all Phoenix players a choice. If she had the meter and died, just regular Phoenix resurrects. No feathers, no health drain, ect.

Unless they wholesale port every umvc3 vet sans xmen/ff I think c viper is the first and most likely candidate to be cut alongside hsien-ko. I also would bet on Nemesis not being back.

Even though we don't really know what will happen with the X-Men characters (probably DLC) Psylocke may have a chance at this one.
That's actually exactly how fighting games work.
You can have the best game in the world, if people don't like who they are playing as, or how it looks, they will throw that shit strait in the garbage.
Character design and visual design is key.
God that whole explaination​ of how they were able to have the Phoenix Force still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I had two ideas. If they wanna bring Phoenix back they could just have Phoenix/Dark Phoenix count as two characters since it's a two on two game but I doubt they would do that.
As for reused animations I think you guys could be sleeping on reusing character animations for new characters. I could see Black Panther using of lot of RE5 Jill animations.

Don't remember if Jean had that exact same outfit in the comics.

Like christiankid7 had said, its from Marvel Avengers Alliance game that was on Facebook. They couldn't use namor for the Phoenix 5 event. So they made Jean Grey the 5th member.
Jean never really made an appearance in that event. Though Cyclops was talking to a silhouette of her as she trying to get him to ditch the Phoenix Force at the climax.

I just hope I can get the game this time around. Don't have a PS4 or Xbox and don't plan on getting either. If a Switch port doesn't happen I'm going to have to hope my Macbook + Steam will suffice...
Yeah, this is my issue too. Not looking forwad to playing on my PC so I would love if a Switch version happened.
