I really doubt the MH character is anything other than just a hunter.
On that subject, that's a play style/move list thats really interesting to think about. There are a ton of different weapon styles and move sets they could pull from, not to mention different monsters maybe showing up themselves. Rathalos fireballs, Diablos charges, Deviljho fucking shit up. Lots of possibilities for moves and supers.
If sigma comes out right when the game drops uak I'm X/Sigma if not probs try out jedah and ultron. I want that new blood.
I feel Monster Hunter would have felt more at home in MvC3, doesn't feel like he will fit in this.
Assuming its a regular Hunter, I'd kind of hope that the Monster Hunter could switch styles from his active weapon stance to a non-active weapon stance. Like their default stance would be with the great sword, but then they could put the sword away, and have more of a light heated moveset that uses the pick axe, bombs, traps, and other things like that. I guess that's not all too likely, but it would be more faithful than them switching between weapons.
IIRC Capcom has never had more than $6/character (Only SFV?) and most of the time has had the cheapest DLC characters. I think SFxTK had the most characters per buck value of anything thus far.
EDIT: FWIW I asked the Twitter leaker for clarification on the inconsistencies between their leak and Riku'a and they said that its just Wolvie, Doom, and Deadpool in the base. Cyke is unknown if base or DLC. Also Nina is in, allegedly.
Seems like there are 3 types of people on this board now.
1. People who are content with the roster because their mains are still there and/or (for some reason) don't mind the characters.
2. People with lost hype that still believe the list is incomplete and/or believe a bait and switch is coming. (I think I fit here)
3. People with lost hype that believe the leak roster, but hoping that some e3 gameplay will spark back their hype for the game.
4. People who lost hype because the game in general hasn't looked like a step up from UMVC3 yet.

Agreed, I personally got over it relatively quickly. Now looking forward to seeing the game and it's growth.Like Saikyo said, best to get the disappointment out of the way now rather than later.
Same here, I'm surprised by how quickly I got over the initial disappointment & got to the acceptance phase.Agreed, I personally got over it relatively quickly. Now looking forward to seeing the game and it's growth.
We haven't seen most of the roster yet.
Songbird is one of my top ten favorite Marvel characters. I want her in eventually.
It will be a massive dissapointment to not see the xmen characters on marvel vs capcom infinite
They are truly the world warriors/champion edition roster of the series. You have to include as much of them as possible in the game
Since no one really cares about Nemesis, they should just rework him to be Sentinel in a Nemesis skin.
Tentacle drones lets go.
EDIT: Oh shit I forgot there's no more assists.
Let's be fair, nobody expected the roster to go this far south.
I was almost sure that one of those two could have been in the base roster (I guess I was completely wrong lol)I wish I was optimistic enough to be a 2, but I just don't think it's possible.
I'm mostly a 3, but if one of the characters in the first DLC pack ends up being Asura or Gene, then I officially can't complain any more.

Capcom must have left them out on purpose just to do DLC, seeing that both are requested frequently. Thinking more about the characters, I'm more dissapointed on the Capcom side, even if Daredevil is nowhere to be seen
That could be true but maybe if Capcom does a good moveset for Gene taking God Hand's as a base for it, it would end up being great.I've thought the same thing, but my fear is that Gene will not sell as DLC, and is therefore less likely to make it. Asura, on the other hand, I'm sure people will pay for.
Wouldn't be the first time Asura's Wrath had to deal with DLC BS.
My man. Definitely running X/Sigma as soon as he is available. Ultron, Thanos, and Gamora and probably Jedah too will get burn

Hopefully he'll make the cut for DLC characters. Gene was one of the most requested on some polls IIRC.Oh, I'm sure his moveset would be incredible. The man was made for MvC. I just worry about mass appeal.
I think that i's because of the base roster, the total number of characters and the picks for it are somewhat boring IMO.There's such a negative aura around this game everywhere I go online now.
The last time it was this strong was a little after SFV's release.
Before that, it was after SFXT was released.
Seems like the last time there was positivity towards Capcom fighting games was SF4/MVC3 era. Everything after just hasn't been able to catch on. Capcom has their work cut out for them big-time...especially with this roster.
Yes they are. Definitely play those games.![]()
They're all worth it.
Awesome!Yes they are good games. So is Viewtiful Joe.

Playing as ant man is going to be as exciting as that shitty antman movie. This roster is just so terrible. Even Capcoms side is total shit and the MCU had nothing to do with it
It's that, the less than stellar visuals, and the "simplified controls."
Don't forget the already scummy practice of having one of the two main villains be DLC.

Yep, the visuals aren't what I would have expected. Hopefully the E3 build looks better thatn what we have already seen. It's that, the less than stellar visuals, and the "simplified controls."

Shitty antman movie.
