Hi. There's some confusion here about what happened with Ryce. This was partially a miscommunication related to our system that holds back-end user data and partially I think a case where Ryce reported stuff that ended up changing because from what I can tell MvC:I is having a pretty rocky development. Although I was not the moderator that banned him, I followed up, lifted Ryce's ban and sent an explanation PM to him about what happened with our process to result in him being banned. This is sort of a case where everyone in the situation is partially at fault. If anyone has any more questions they can talk about it with Ryce when he's back and/or PM me rather than continuing in thread. As is always the case I won't discuss another user's bans in specific but I am happy to clarify elements of our process that may seem confusing in general. Sorry about any disruption to the thread and conversation.

Thanks Stump. Time to get back to our regularly scheduled programming of watching Capcom do weird things. :P

Thanks Stump.

The most valuable scuttlebutt of all time, worth of promotion, even.

Reminds me that from FGC scuttlebutt I heard of Decapre ahead of her announcement for USF4. But I didn't share nor did I want to believe it since I couldn't believe Capcom would pick such a lazy character clone lol

Haha, she looks even weirder now IMO.

I don't think any character models changed, just some of the stages have different lighting and it seems the characters in general seem to look better on darker stages.

I don't know if it was fixed in the previous build, but watching Max's video, and it looks like they fixed that weirdness of Ultron "breathing" when knocked out.

Seems they toned down the Chromatic Aberration as well thankfully

Yay!

It's the lighting that makes her look weird. The problem is that all the stages have terrible lighting so she never looks good. Same for Dante.

The lighting is either too flat (promo renders, CSS) or has weirdly deep shadows.

I don't think it's the lighting on Dante's part. The face is just off.

The source of Marvel leaks being hearsay at gatherings is the most hood way to get dirt on something.

Literally no better fitting way considering competitive Marvel's rep in the FGC.

Thanks for the info :)

one thing I noticed is that in the latest trailer they toned down the Chromatic Abberation? The game looked a lot sharper and more pleasing to the eye. Still won't win any visual awards but it seems better (at least on that stage)

Based Stump.

It might just be the stage that has less CA.

Maybe it's still there somewhat or they're just using textures with odd coloration because the color still looks weird and kinda low res.

We still need to see the Asgard stage to know. There's zero reason for it and that stage is most egregious.

They need to turn it off wholesale regardless of stage, though. The double-image effect is the real offender.

good stuff! thanks stump

I've always found it weird how the story presents the capcom games as existing in a shared universe, implying that Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Ghouls and Ghosts etc all take place in the same world. I get why they do it for storytelling purposes. Would be crazy if street fighter characters showed up in the next Resident Evil

I just figure the Capcom games take place on the same Earth but in different time periods.

I want to follow up on Stump's post. A user brought their concerns up about Ryce's ban by PMing me. I forwarded it to the team and shortly thereafter the situation was investigated and resolved. PMing us if you have these sorts of questions is generally more effective than just grumbling about it in the thread. Messages do help us, a lot.

Seemingly only two people tweeting about it:
