Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster |DT2| oh dear...

I agree that only 6 veterans would be awful, but X, Captain Marvel, Ultron, Sigma, and Black Panther are newcomers.
I thought we were talking about a future Marvel game not this one in particular (because we already know most of the roster). Because by then those characters would be "veteran" and people will take a liking to them... making them even harder to remove.

That's why I have been saying that it gets harder and harder to create a balance of veterans plus newcomers. Every newcomer is a veteran not making it in which is going to piss some people off.

I'll just reiterate Injustice 2 had over 50% of its base roster being new and is one of the best selling games of the year.

So long as they're good picks I think you could get away with that in MVC. Capcom side could've picked up the newcomer slack.

It's also got pretty much none of the franchise baggage that MvC has, nor the number of characters you'd have to do that for.

Expectations for the cast size of an MvC game are inherently large because it's tied to the identify of the franchise since MvC2 took off. Anything under 40 and people would be complaining, real talk.

People already complaining about nobodies and waste of character slots like Cheetah in Injustice 2.

And that game has luxury of being a DC only fighter.

Sorry no Batman or Teen Titan characters. None. Not even Batman can be in this game. Could only imagine what DC fans would have done.

Marvel wants to be more prevalent in AAA games, but continue restricting developers to their movie properties. Even gameplay design is being altered to cater to the movie.

They're just applying the same shitty principles that ran their gaming division out of business to 3rd parties now.

Yeah, I mean isn't the obvious pairing this one?

I think that top is too small for Morrigan.

I'd say there's only a handful of characters that I would consider wasted in Injustice 2. Also Injustice 2 as a casual gaming package is more intriguing than what we've seen them offer in MVCI. I could care less for story modes but multiverse and gears are a big positive in Injustice 2 despite how much I hate the RNG in that game. Character customization on the level of I2 would be amazing for a Mahvel game but I can't see Capcom doing something like that.

It was Disney's management of their games that brought said gaming division under, not Marvel's overreliance on the MCU. And even then, they're starting to change (to an extent). The change just came too late for MvCI's base roster.

I always wondered how a Color Edit or a customization option similar to Tekken 7 would look in MVCI. Most believe that Marvel would be against that, which makes sense. That was one of the reasons why many believed MVC3 was never on the PC. I guess Marvel just gave in on that.

I don't own a single toy statue or whatever but I would totally get this one because it's god damn nice:

You can even move them around to have different match ups (like Dante and Vergil non DT against each other, or Dante DT versus Vergil non DT).

Only $600 ... for one half of it. So $1200 total.
