Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite Characters and Stages Roster |DT2| oh dear...

lol the training stage is fine. Training stages are all about minimizing visual clutter. That's about as utilitarian as it gets.

So looks like with a second metro city stage and the training stage we're up to 10 confirmed stages so far? Wonder how many more they'd get.... with the story mode you'd think they'd be able to take a lot of locations from that and repurpose them.

I'm very glad that we are getting Metro City Motor Corp stage since I really like the stage in term of simplicity. Don't get me wrong, I really like Metro City x Avengers Tower too.

It definitely gets the job done, but I wish Capcom took a few liberties with the Avengers' training room.

I don't like how the victory animation screen abruptly transitions into the character renders and win quote. The whole point of there being two ending screens is to emulate the turning of a comic book page, which is completely missing here.

That training stage...looks bad.

Maybe it's because 95%+ of my fighting game time has been spend playing SF4 and SF5. But I think this training stage looks great for a training stage. Of course, the bar that SF4 and SF5 sets for a training stage is essentially buried 5 feet in the ground

The problem is that Mahvel 3 set the bar pretty high. Then again, that was an X-Men stage.

He's jacking up the contrast/gamma levels in his videos. For some reason.

Negative. All capture is done at 70 mbps 1080/60 full dynamic range. Also, I edit in RGB/LCD monitor lighting adjustments in editing as that's the ideal situation for best viewing.

It's more crisp because I render my gameplay videos in 4k, which unlocks better color/bit depth on Youtube. Otherwise, a normal 1080p video is restricted to approximately 8 mbps. 4k gets access to 28mbps or sometimes more.

There's a high likely chance that Tyrants/IGN videos aren't making adjustments like this, and the Dynamic Range isn't correctly adjusted during the raw capture.

GameSpot got to try what looks like the retail build. The other side of New Metro City & the Training Stage are shown in the video.
Chun-Li looks legitimately great there.

Honestly, the game looks good overall, and it looks like they've fixed the contrast between the foreground and the background so the characters do pop a bit better than they did when they had only revealed up to Knowmoon. The damage is done though, people are stubborn and resigned to huffing and puffing about the smaller things with as great of an intensity because of the bigger issues, some of which have passed, some which are still problematic.

People are going in on the UI harder than they did UMvC3's, which is crazy because the circumstances around UMvC3's UI is similar, but is actual dumbing down for parity with mobile platforms, not just a nonsense tinfoil hat theory that they're trying to micromanage Marvel Games' UIs.

I actually just checked to remind myself what that MvC3 training stage looks like. And uh, yeah...I actually really hate it. It honestly reminds me of the SF training stages where there's hardly any detail in the stage other than the lines. I find that super dull personally

Definitely the retail build, has extra options during character select, colour indications.
Hopefully training stage is banned at Evo and such.
Talk about snoozeville.

Wow. That's actively ugly. (Rather than passively like the rest of the game)

Been a gripe of mine from day one. There's no transition between screens. It looks amateurish.

Is there an example of the transition (like a specific time stamp?)

So would you say your videos are more accurate to what the game looks like in person?

Random and Team Select on retail build.

Also featuring the still very unorganized character select. WHY IS CHUN SEPARATE FROM RYU UGH

Good job on the videos Max. Jedah looks fantastic.

Max, does this game have an in menu button check like in SFV?

Never had a chance to check my buttons. There was a frame delay adjustment you could make in the training mode menu to compensate for online. It went from 1-10 frames, making me think it'll be rollback netcode.

That Jedah video Max says he has "a ton more footage" to post... 10 more Strider/X videos incoming :3

No but for realises tho Max, big props.

Maxdoeswhatcapcomdont I guess.

For this session, I got Peter and MikeD to play each other for like 90 minutes. They're easily the best at the game currently, so I only got about 30 mins of playtime myself but wanted the best footage. No biggie, I'll probably get a review copy in the next few weeks anyway.

Yeah, that better not be final. It's not perfect, but something like this would be much better:

All series and themes (Avengers, cosmic, etc.) are together, as well as analog characters/rivals where possible (Strider/Gamora, Morrigan/Strange, Jedah/Dormammu, Dante/Ghost Rider).

There's nothing I hate more than nonsensical character select screens.

I think those adjustments you're doing might be changing how the game actually looks like. I whipped a quick comparison.

What took you 5 minutes in Photoshop would just be too hard to do in game apparently

I stillsay it's *tin foil hat* messed up because the DLC characters aren't there yet and had they been there at launch like originally planned it'd have evened out

No wonder... I was wondering why it looked better in Max's videos

I hate that they stopped having a super flash before the cinematic animation for supers. Now the animation starts alongside the flash and it looks really bad and awkward.

What would Capcom gain from releasing a jumbled character select screen like that? Is there anything that benefits them doing that?

the ONLY thing that comes to mind is to make it harder to predict DLC choices but that doesn't make sense to me either...I got nothing.

I miss when a characters portrait/artwork used to pop up activating their supers.

It definitely looks way better than what they have on the demo.

I think they probably set it up so they probably already set the spots for certain downloadable characters but I think it's very unlikely scenario tho.

They could have used the order Ryce posted and then changed it when the DLC characters are out but thats probably too much work for Capcom.

they just started throwing the characters on the screen as they were finished.

The top two are against much darker stages.

The HUD color doesn't change no matter where you're fighting. I don't know what else to tell you, Max's video do look different from everybody else's.

Just one look at that Jedah vid and something looked odd to me, the whites are like blindingly white.

Yeah I'm with you now.

Hopefully it is closer to what the game looks like in person because his videos look much better.
