Looks nice but it's a generic color. I suppose it's so he can color coordinate with X just like Rising Fire X matches Zero.

He really seems like he may benefit the absolute least from the new systems. So many "bad" characters in UMvC3 I can picture using their properties in amazing ways in Infinite due to the tag system and stones, but Chris....nothing exciting is coming to mind. Only thing that he's got going for him is his grenade launcher super it seems. It's a shame, I always wanted to play him more in UMvC3.

Game play wise the game is looking good. It's god damn Marvel so if you liked the game play before then you should be fine.

Presentation is still kinda wack and the state of online play is still up in the air.

I mean, in this specific case I can't really trust Jwong, Filipino and KBR after everything that has happened with this game this last 4 months.

Specially filipino, the jedah reveal at evo was one of the most cringe worthy shit that I have seen in the FGC, and that's saying a lot.

In the other hand, I trust more on some gaffers here who really don't have anything to win if this game does well or not, and I feel like online matches don't really do enough justice to appreciate this game

I was mostly joking, tho. And I'm not calling them names or blaming them in particular. I'm just laughing at the phrase. I'm not saying Bill Rosemann or Paul Gardner fucked things up or whatever.

I know Rosemann wanted to bring back the X-Men. That's one of the big things he's been doing, bringing them to games. Paul Gardner also had no hand in that, he just wrote the thing.

New Generation Pictures, the guys who did SFV/UMvC3/SFIV/SFxT, are located in Beverly Hills. The studio that likely did MvCI is Studiopolis, who normally does Marvel's current line-up of cartoons (& also the English voice acting for all things Sonic).

  • 30 characters with few questionable choices (but they actually make a diverse of gameplay tho, in mind of having more characters coming in via DLC)
  • Visual Direction (Artstyle) if it don't bother you then it's good for you

Pro

  • Story Mode
  • Arcade Mode
  • Mission Mode with Character Missions and Tutorials
  • Beginners Lounge (online) for new players (until you hit level 14 then you will be moved forward to Ranked and Casual)
  • Auto Combo for new player friendly (you can turn it off if you want to)

If this game has been in the works since 2015....

I wonder if MVCI's Season 1 DLC was locked in when Black Panther's movie was releasing in 2017. Would make sense with the advertisement angle.

....Perhaps Spider-man might not have been in the original plans until the Sony deal? Weren't there rumors that Marvel was planning to do the same thing to Spider-man as they were with F4 and Xmen?

The Black Panther thing may be possible, but Marvel & Sony were always on relatively good terms (not unlike Marvel & Fox).

I think MVCI Season 1 and Season 2 are more likely to be locked in by now.
