Good lord it feels like I have to put in some serious work for my wins in this game. Didnt see a single Dante which is nice I guess all those players are top rank by now making the lower ranks a nice fun environment. Seeing all sorts of weird teams. Okay this is sad folks, the Trophy to complete Arcade mode with all characters is an Ultra rare trophy on PS4. 1.9% completion rate. I guess I am one of th eextreme rare few that gritted my teeth through that.

I'd agree mostly with Dahbombs fixes a page or two back. Unfortunately they're gonna have to switch up HP Web Ball, it's a beautiful move though. I legit mess up so many times trying to make the conversion but still have time to connect after the fact. That's not what makes it good - it's that it sets up so much shit. Maybe hsd scaling just needs to kick in after a certain damage point with it.
Refining without nuking tags will be intriguing. I'm down for them getting rid of brain dead stuff like certain projectile persistence on hit, wacky (physical?) projectiles, Chris and Ryus toolset, reality stone infinites, hsd glitch and the bugs. Bring chicken block back for my pringles ass too. Or fix the lockdownsuper mixups to something else/bring back crossover counters. Number one though is flashes for tags/supers eating inputs. Fucking infuriating especially when you think you've tagged but it was the other guy and you eat shit.
Game just needs polish, what's there is fun but not premier yet.
I don't think I'm good enough yet to see what's so bad about Hawkeye. Maybe he's just a scrub buster and I can carry over some instinct from 3. Did have 10k plus matches with him after all.

bringing back chicken blocking would help a ton if they keep much of the game the same. maybe create a system where you can only get so many hits that you can't push block and then anything after can be push blocked. you would essentially only get 1 mix up and have to wait for the push block cool down to end.

When one of your characters has been killed and the other one is incoming, can you activate a storm immediately when they appear on screen or do you have to wait a number of frames? I feel like there've been times where I was mashing for storm activation and it didn't come while my character was in the air, only happening when they touched the ground.
You can do it mid air but you need to be mind full of the direction you are holding.
If you are holding back and then try to Storm, you will drop to the ground too quickly. Try to hold forward, press a button in the air then do the Storm activation.

Played some ranked tonight and made a Thanos/Dorm player rage quit with Jedah/Frank. Felt pretty good.

You know whats crazy...I tried this on a 1ms gaming monitor and actually won consistently tonight online ...I dont know if Im getting better or if that refresh made the difference.

This Bum1six stream is funny as hell tonight.
You can react to stuff better, it makes a difference. For example in Tekken I block Bryan's Snake Edge much more consistently when playing on monitor.
Kind of like another recent capcom game hmmm

You're totally right, I've been playing Dante again but this time with Thor and there's some real shenanigans going on.
Volcano is one of the most fun moves in the game. So many cancel opportunities. Volcano xx Volcano xx Teleport, jFP xx Dive Kick just looks cool.
One of my main gripes is something that has actually been going on for a bit with the Vs. games, and that is the unimpressive stages. They are for the most part hit and miss for me. Some stages are colorful but none of them really ever have anything going on. No people in the back watching and/or running frantically during the fray. No objects interacting with the player characters (like the boxes and barrels of SFII days). All the fun stuff in stages are replaced with empty city streets and other backdrops with little to no activity. You could even get away with no activity on a stage if the area was exceptionally beautiful (Moonlight Wilderness from Tekken 5 is the goat).
Hopefully they do DLC stages. But that is more than likely not gonna happen.

I posted a braindead way of doing this earlier in the thread. Shadow clone Zero projectiles (Hadangeki mostly)+ Easiest mode + Highest Damage. Change characters out for Ultron Omega and spam projectiles and uppercut moves.
One playthrough I got all perfects including on Ultron Sigma and Omega with this strat.

They probably have a patch in the works but are unable to certify it before the tournament.
More concerning to me is that:
- There are still no stated rules regarding control assist options (easy hyper combo, etc).
- There are still no rules regarding the winner being stone-locked in addition to team-locked.
- Some rules seem to be hastily copy/pasted from SF5 tournament rules instead of being written specifically for Marvel ("Critical Art" and "super meter" instead of hyper combos, etc).
Like why even bother typing up all of that detailed lawyerly language if it's gonna be that slapdash anyway.
Agreed but I pUT part the blame on the fgc for tamer stages once there's any sort to activity in the background it gets banned in tourneys.
