Marvel's Daredevil S2 |OT| No More Half Measures - March 18th on Netflix

E2. The guy peddling kiddy porn. What a stupid scene. Who peddles kiddy porn that openly?

I'm glad somebody else mentioned it, I complained about it in the spoiler thread. Lazy writing for sure.

Edit: about to start episode 5, then I'm finally going to get a little sleep. Episode 4 might be the best in the series.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still having a blast with the show. I'm just looking at it as a better executed cw type superhero show
I'd actually say the first season of Arrow was a better than Daredevil.

I found that Arrow at least revels in its stupidity, while DD attempts a drop dead serious tone, without the writing or acting to pull it off, which then ends up becoming even more hokey.

Paused at the start of Episode 5. Need to cook me some food.

Maybe it will be as fast as Fuller House was revived

About to watch the first episode. Hyped

I think we'll have to wait quite a while for a confirmation this time around. Marvel probably want to focus on Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the Defenders for now. And then Jessica Jones S2 and maybe The Punisher.

It is simpler for PS4 since it has UVD to decode
I'll swap to ps4 after I finish episode 1 then.

I have this what I assume is an irrational fear of burning out my ps4 from streaming or watching too many blurays on it even though it's designed to do both

GIVE ME A PUNISHER SHOW!

I rather a Daredevil season but that's because his my favorite. Wouldn't mind a Punisher show. Shane seems to deliver big time on the character.

Gotta buy something nice to drink as well for my food, so I can enjoy the rest of the show. I'm really loving it so far, and I can't wait to see how Elektra is pulled off. She had quite a stunning introduction.

Oh god I couldn't stand the first season of arrow. I had to force myself to power through it cause I heard the second season gets much better, which was true but I ended up just dropping the show for The Flash anyway.

That said you're right to a point. At least with the CW shows they revel in their "comic booky-ness" whereas when DD wanders into cheese it's a much bigger flaw because of the serious tone it's attempting to pull off

I should say though from the little I've watched so far Frank Castle has been amazing. Spot on

The acting in Arrow has always been shit, and I couldn't get past Oliver's acting especially. It was cringe-worthy. I think I'm finally gonna drop out of Season 4.

Well I'm glad to hear Castle is done well. Bernthal is the only reason I'm giving this show a second chance anyway.

I'd say so
Games burn the system a 100 times faster than video decoding ;)

Damn the EP3
hallway/staircase was fucking awesome. Loved it.
Man S2 so far has been an amazing ride. This is really good.

Batteries the CRISIS!
We're probably at least two years away from a season three of Daredevil.

2015: Daredevil S1, Jessica Jones S1
2016: Daredevil S2, Luke Cage S1
2017: Iron Fist S1, The Defenders
2018: Daredevil S3, Jessica Jones S2

Possibly three years if The Punisher takes my hypothetical Daredevil S3 spot above, or four years if 2019 is for the second seasons of Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

looks amazing for being
75 years old.

Not a real spoiler, just an actor's aging well, but holy shit.

It really is awful lol. I think Arnell looks the part but his delivery is always so unbelievably flat. It's just monotone everything. That works fine when he's "the arrow" but when he's Oliver it's just too much to handle. Honestly I couldn't even finish season two as hard as I tried. The cringe level was just too high for me.

I think we should all thank our lucky stars the CW has taken what they've learned from Arrow and used it to make two great shows in The Flash and LOT

Yeah Bernthal is such a great character actor. I've seen a lot of people complain about his performance in the walking dead but I don't watch the show (it's fucking hot garbage and I say that as a big fan of the comic) but he's great here and in just about everything else I've seen him in. Fury, Wolf of Wall Street etc. the guy can play wounded anti hero types exceedingly well

Episode 1: about 20 mins in spoiler
FFS this Irish mob scene, damn

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? That besides the amazingness in the last minutes of that scene that the rest was cringe worthy, cheaply written stereotyping?

I don't think I have seen Jon Bernthal in anything before Daredevil.

The bigger things he's been in, early seasons of The Walking Dead, Fury, and Wolf of Wall Street. How is he doing as The Punisher so far? And how's the punisher being treated? Seem like we might get a standalone show with him, or would it be worth it?

So when does this season seem to take place in the timeline? (I haven't been able to watch anything yet.)

Im still watchibg, but this might one of the most interesting punishers mannerisms wise.

i just wasn't expecting that whole bullet storm. I thought that mob might be a big part of the season for a sec lol. But when the guys phone rang and I heard his ringtone I was like. Cmon man!

I agree with this. The cherry on top was when his phone started ringing with trad music. THAT MUST MEAN HE'S IRISH!!!

Edit: I will say this in their favour. At least they weren't all speaking in Hollywood "Irish" accents.

Man the first four episodes were better than pretty much everything in season 1. Loving this so far.

right? I really don't get the general "starts slow" complaint the show got in most early reviews. I just saw the first episode and it was superior in pretty much all aspects.
And the final cut in the ending: pure awesome.

Do I have to get through JJ to enjoy this? I watched one episode and it didn't really click with me

JJ is pretty dull IMO: the action is very One Million Dollar Man. Character development is really good though and the villain is awesome. The quality grows with each episode, but I found it pretty average.
Cage is perfect.

Finished episode 1. Good stuff. So far it's exactly what I wanted from a second season premiere. I honestly think Foggy and Karen are stepping it up too as far as acting and character goes but we'll see how they fare in the long run.

Lunch break for me, then continuing the binge!

Not really a spoiler, but to be safe ep 1 spoiler if you haven't started.
lucky for Matt it seems like the foggy and Karen thing is done! I've been anticipating Matt stealing foggys girl since the trailer.
