Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered - PC Features & Specs Revealed

Apologies I misread. A 3070 is stronger then 6700xt so maybe the 3070 locks 4k60 while a 6700xt can't so 6800xt is recommended.

Doesn't look nonsense from Rt benchmarks
Why wouldn't they say the 6800 non-XT then?

Nvidia cards do better at higher resolutions too.

these charts are pointless, maxed out settings + maxed out RT settings are meaningless for current gen GPUs, especially at 4k. consoles do not even come close to using med/high rt settings in most cases and with med/high rt settings even a rtx 3060 can easily handle RT in most cases

Did you mean to quote me?

Surprised no FSR 2.0. this is not an Nvidia marketed title. With that being said the community will add it in the place of dlss anyway but still...super strange
I'd even like to see the temporal injection tech they've used on the PS4 Pro/PS5 versions of the game to reach 4K. It looks very good.

How does this compare to the PS5 remastered game?
The ray traced fidelity mode runs at native 4k 40-50 fps. Dont know the average, but around 50 while flying and drops a little when in the middle of action.

The ray traced reflections are half res. So instead of native 4k, they are 4kcb or 4.1 million pixels instead of 8.2 million pixels. Im guessing the very high mode simply runs the reflections at a full native res and doesnt cull things in and out of reflections like they do in the PS5 version for performance reasons.

a 950 needed for 720p/30 when a 950 is more powerful than PS4
Err, it's really not. PS4 GPU at the hands of first-party devs is well-utilized. Its low-level API HW feature like async compute is put to good use which, GPUs like GTX 950 lack on HW level.

Yeah i just noticed that. Why is this $60? The remaster on ps5 was like a $30 add-on to Miles Morales.

Probably because it's a new release for the platform. And don't worry, you will be able to get it from keys site for 30-40 EUR. At least you're getting the definitive version.

I'm interested to hear your reaction when you find out that 10 year old TLOU will cost 70 euro september 2022.
Lol crazy, I won't be surprised at this point man. They were better off keeping these videogames as a console exclusive in my opinion. This just damages the Playstation brand because it's being handled wrong.

Why the fuck would I pay $60 for this old video game?

I'll be picking this up to play on Steam Deck. Glad it supports DLSS, so it can get a conversion to FSR 2. For Guardians of the Galaxy I was just able to use the Dying Light FSR 2 mod, so hopefully it works right out of the gate, or that somebody will tweak it right after launch.

  • Improved Shadows
  • Ultrawide Display Support
  • Ray-traced Reflections
  • Unlocked Framerate
  • NVidia DLSS and DLAA
  • DualSense Controller Support
  • It really makes you feel like Spider-Man again
ooooo Ultrawide support? Wonder how it'll look on my Odyssey G9? Most games have shit support.

Everyone who has dabbled with raytracing on PC knows full resolution raytraced reflections are a waste.
that wont stop people from shitting on rtx cards, however

options are good: for future hardware. yet people expect miracles out of hardware... i can already see meltdowns with ultimate rt benchmarks from people with rtx 2070s and how they will cry about their card cannot handle ray tracing but a ps5 can, as if ps5 runs these settings (i said myself, these settings usually provide diminishing returns)

What's with all the surprised/shocked comments about DLSS? It was a hot thing like few years ago but nowadays it's a common feature, actually one of the most demanded ones by PC gamers, why do some of you act like Nixxes has mastered some sort of forbidden black magic ony a few was able to pull off?

That's like watching the Avangers on your 4.7" iPhone. Standards plebs, this is a cinematic showcase. 75"+ or bust

wow, PC requirement is way higher than i expected, seems like the PS5 is way more powerful than I thought.

I don't think it will damage anything.

A quick look in the thread about it on Gaf shows there's plenty who think the price point is worth it.

Glad to see these releases make their way to PC.
A bit ambitious asking for $60, but Sony gonna Sony. Might be a good double dip on a deep sale or key site, but even then, the game was just OK, I remember being quite underwhelmed and bored by the end.
Kinda looking forward to returnal, ghost and forbidden west, hopefully those release soon

Because its the first time PC only gamers have a chance to buy it? Its basically a new release for the platform.

I hope the release is smooth with no major issue but I have to say, Sony including DLSS in almost every games on PC is fantastic news. They're very smart with their PC releases, building themself a very good reputation so far. Microsoft and other publishers should take notes.

Game is optimized for PS5 hardware, so it's going to run better on the PS5 even with an equivalent PC build
Ummm....ya...okkkk. u forget about dlss? That alone will give it an important fps boost while looking great. If nixxes does it right, it will be the def edition to play.

Also, to answer above posts...ur overhyping the sales. It will sell decently, but I do t expect it to sell a million for at least a month or two in. I don't think it will outsell horizon.

Am I an alien or does Spiderman look absolutely retarded in this game? What's up with the white logo on his chest? It looks so weird.

This style Spiderman was so much better.

It's going to look amazing in ultrawide.

Sony is looking more serious with PC support, but they still have a long way to go compared to Microsoft.

Cool. I'm going to fall a bit short of the Very High settings. How do we expect that will match up against the PS5 version? I think it's funny that I just paid twice the price of a PS5 to buy a relatively underpowered gaming PC, eventhough I totally want a PS5.

Seems like the first Spider-man specific game on Steam that's not a free movie promotional thing.
There's been several others Spider-Man games on steam before, they are just not available anymore because of copyright / publishing issues related to Activision.

Will save this for something to play with RT when my impulse control fails and I buy a 4090 in the next few months. Wish Microsoft would start to add a few of these pc specific features to their games, there's really no excuse for them to neglect at least wide screen aspect ratio options.

I want to get it but idk if 1060 3gb will be enough for 1080p... Getting a console or upgrading the card is out of my possibilities right now :(

Spiderman got a price and date before Uncharted?
I did not see that coming.
I want a confirmation of the trilogy coming to PC but that seems to take longer than I'll take to get a ps5 lol
