I'm hoping her story-line is going to play out a bit differently then it did in the comics. For one thing, I struggle to see the Karen they've established going from an aspiring hot-shot newspaper journalist to
becoming a heroin-addicted porn star, even if some variation of the Born Again storyline plays out.

I think more likely her past will catch up with her, there's been plenty hints in S1-2 that she's got a sordid past (not heroin/porn star sordid, but still). There's some hint with her brother if I remember correctly.

My point is there's been no direct allusion to her having gone down that path. It's vague at best.

Agreed.

There's also the slight possibility that Karen is now going to fill Ben Ulrich's role in the Daredevil mythos as the investigative reporter who serves ad one of Daredevil's staunchest allies. Suddenly having Karen back out of journalism to become a drug addled open star would probably prove too dramatic a reversel for that interpretation of the character.

Make no mistake, I'm under no illusions that some bad shit is probably going to happen to her
once Fisk gets out
, though.

I don't think Karen
will reveal Matt's identity, I think it's hinted in DD Season 2 that Fisk will probably figure it out of his own volition.
It would be nice to have Fisk cameo in this series actually, given he butted heads with Frank in DD.

I really hope this doesn't take place in New York that setting is getting old and played out to me. I hope this in California or maybe over seas in Russia or something.

Give me some fight scenes with decent light. Best one in DD season 2 was the prison fight thanks to the bright hallway and being able to see everything.

Or the plot from DD S2, he was home for a day before his family was killed.

Still feels super, super weird to have Karen getting so friendly with Castle, considering how much she seemed to take a shine to Grotto
before Castle brutally gunned him down.

I think the fact that the shows all have very similar lighting is the bigger problem. I'm so sick of that yellow hue.

Was hoping that Karen showed up. Punisher, Karen, and Foggy were the best parts of Daredevil season 2. I'd never thought I would be more disappointed by Daredevil and Elektra after the Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner movies.

I liked her in season 1 but her writing in season 2 was really annoying. She had this weird feminist undercurrent to her that came out of nowhere and then I found all the praise the rest of the cast started throwing her way to show the audience how super important and talented she is to be kind of irritating. The latter is happening with Claire over on Luke Cage only much more overt and distracting.

Daniel Webber (“11.22.63”) has been cast as Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society.

Jason R. Moore (“A Lonely Place for Dying”) joins as Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle’s and one of the few people who knows he is alive.

Paul Schulze (“Nurse Jackie”) will play Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle.

Jaime Ray Newman (“Bates Motel”) plays Sarah Lieberman, Micro’s wife (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach) whose marriage has made her life far more complicated.

Michael Nathanson (“The Knick,” “Wolf of Wall Street”) has been cast as Sam Stein, a Homeland agent who is challenged by his partnership with Dinah (Amber Rose Revah).

"We couldn't have asked for a more talented group of actors to round out the cast of Marvel's The Punisher," said Executive Producer and showrunner Steve Lightfoot. "It's a thrill to watch them each bring their characters to life with such layered, nuanced performances.”

EDIT: Wait Rawlins is being played by Chapelle from 24... ehhhhhhh...

EDIT 2: Curtis Hoyle (played by Jason R. Moore) is a bit of a deep cut, he's from the very first issue of the main punisher run. I won't spoil in what fashion in case they are reusing the story, but that's a neat reference.

See, I have to believe he's undercover or just taking a break. The ending of Season 2 didn't imply that he's quitting forever or something just to get pulled back into the action.

But my one hope is that Frank suits up and there's a club scene like in Collateral or John Wick, and we got Bernthal in suit and tie fucking up douchebags.
