They are just now getting around to asking people to stay home if they can the next few days.
When you look at all the new cases being announced, and see how many of the new cases were infected 2+ weeks ago, it's pretty troubling.
But they don't want to seem to actually do anything until things explode, but looking at how that has fared in other countries, you'd think they'd realise it isn't the best idea.

GOOD LUCK AND BE SAFE, MENG.Looking at tents being put up all around the local district care facilities here in Sweden.. Had two local deaths, one guy everyone knew, a happy go lucky old Iranian who always walked with a cane in the centre of town, always happy, always greeting. Used to say hi to him everytime we went to the grocery store.
We've been lucky so far, but looking at the tents going up across the lawn feels eerie, thing are still going to get worse, before it gets better.
It really hasn't hit yet, but there is allready a shortage on medecines and protective gear, ambulance staff have to reuse single use items.
Makes ya miss our emergency storages we used to have back in the 90's, that got sold off because they cost money to have..We went from having 6 months of pretty much everything you can think of, to relying on whats in the chains. Welp, almost, atleast we have 3 months worth of gasoline.. Was interesting when they rotated out stuff from the storages, you'd be able to buy half a frozen a cow for next to nothing, and cheap chocolate, the military pea soup in a can was always a hit. Atleast now the calls are going out to rebuild those storages, but that'll take alot of time, and now it will probarly be really expensive too.

My wife had several cases from high profile chinese gang boss to a retarded mother and son where they broke into a house surrounded by police. Both high as fuck the mother started to stab his own son and then cut her own throught.
At her unit when she was in to take care of the boy the boy asked her if he can talk to her mom.
Cop was in there as well. My wife didnt know what happened only to be told by the cop the mother is dead.
This was in the news but not in full detail.
Details are not released to public.
My wife is briefed on all cases and they have to keep their mouth shut.
A lot of her patients require protection so no gang member or other shows up to finish the job.
Again not here to create panic.
We heard on the news yesterday about all the scams going around here and in all of canada.
All i say stay alert.

While I am sure a great many people appreciate your unbridled optimism, I am not sure how you can claim they have reached their peak.
They've definitely stopped the exponential spread, but they had the third highest new case count ever today. New cases are still outpacing recovered cases per day as well.
They've also been on quarantine for over two weeks now and we're still seeing 5900+ new cases per day. The incubation time is looking more like 4-7 days, so everyone getting sick now had to happen well after the lock downs were put in place.
Hopefully you're right and things magically turn around next week, but that's just what you said a couple weeks ago, and last week, and probably next week too. At some point you'll be right!
The deaths will continue to rise. I wish we had updated age specifics to see if it's still 70+ that are going, even with the overloaded hospitals.
