Opening up seems to bring a little uptick but you can get it back under control

Israel and Iran had mini surges that are dying down.

So far in Canada we have not had a surge. Where I live we had provice wide reopening on May 11th, and in my City May 25th and our numbers have kept going down to where we are just over 100 cases. We were the Italy/NYC of Canada.

The increase in cases is directly related to the 2 weeks of protesting and rioting we saw. And then since the governors and media basically killed any crediability stay home save lives could of had no one cares anymore.

Look at the CHAZ. Look at the Brooks case where this guy was going to bars and Wendy's and the 2 cops didn't have masks on.

Some 54 scientists have resigned or been fired as a result of an ongoing investigation by the National Institutes of Health into the failure of NIH grantees to disclose financial ties to foreign governments. In 93% of those cases, the hidden funding came from a Chinese institution.

Oh, I wasn't referring to that at all. I think all and all he is doing a good job.

Ah you guys were referring to the NBC guy. Yeah, what Joe T said.

It's funny when you look at stuff like this now. Back during the first half of 2016 I was only casually following politics, and I would see headline quotes like this all the time and think "Wow Trump is so dumb. We're fucked if he wins". But now you go back and see how selective the quotes were and still are.

This is so true.

Remember “very fine people”? Trump would never say that about the communist black supremacist liberals that were present there.

fake news is all around us. I get and trust my news from the leader of our country and the leader of our country alone.

Beijing locked down 29 communities as COVID-19 confirmed cases continued to rise on Tuesday, with the epidemic situation in Beijing around the Xinfadi Market deemed "very grim" by the Beijing government.
Health authorities on Tuesday reported another 27 confirmed cases in Beijing, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in Beijing to 106.

Nine out of 11 districts in Beijing have reported confirmed cases, of which Fengtai district is the most stricken area.

The epidemic situation of clustered infections related to the Xinfadi Market in Beijing's Fengtai district is extremely grim, the Beijing anti-epidemic leading group said at a meeting on Monday.

"We need to strengthen the bottom line thinking and make an all-out fight, taking epidemic prevention and control as the most important and urgent task at present… and taking the most determined, decisive and strict measures to contain the epidemic," the leading officials in Beijing urged. :messenger_bicep:

Beijing will roll out a citywide inspection and sanitation campaign for wholesale markets, vegetable markets, restaurants and canteens. Vendors and business operators will all undergo nucleic acid tests.

At least 29 local communities in Beijing imposed lockdowns after confirmed cases were found in the communities and food markets nearby, the Global Times found.

I've seen what dexamethasone can do for someone with brain cancer and it's like magic when first used. Even if it was only for a while but unlike a brain tumor, covid can be defeated by the body if it gets the time.

A research team at Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem has discovered what they believe causes coronavirus patients to become seriously ill and even die. They also say they have a way to treat the cause before it’s too late.

At least 30% of patients with coronavirus develop blood clots that block the flow of blood to their kidneys, heart and brain, as well as the lungs, according to international research.

Higavi said his team are en route to a solution: administering the drug colchicine to coronavirus patients.

Colchicine is an approved drug used in the prevention and treatment of gout attacks, caused by too much uric acid in the blood.
Higavi said they have completed testing colchicine on mice and found that it successfully inhibited the release of alpha defensin. Now, they are waiting for the necessary approvals to test it on human coronavirus patients.

The researcher said that clinical trials would look at use of the drug both for severe cases and administering it to patients with mild or moderate symptoms to see if it will help decrease the chances of their developing a severe case of the disease.

I now know of 5 cases of coronavirus. 3 in our own employees and 2 in employees for the company we were working for.

Our employees

1 is Hispanic over the age of 60 and obese (was mildly ill for one day and then completely fine)
1 is Hispanic over the age of 50 and obese (was never sick)
1 is white age 25 and fit (was never sick)

Our contractor's employees

1 is black over the age of 40 (was never sick)
1 is white over the age of 60 (was never sick)

- None of these people have lasting effects of the illness. They have no problems breathing and work in physical labor.

- All of these people were working very closely with dozens of other employees in their outdoor job. None of those people contracted it.

- All of these people got a month off from work completely paid because they kept testing positive.

- I am now of the belief that hospitals and urgent care clinics are falsifying Positives to force people to come back and pay $100+ each visit in order to eventually be cleared.

- We spent over $800 per "sick" employee just on testing. In total we spent over $10,000 on testing the entire company. It is a fucking racket, and after learning from a doctor in Houston that they claim shooting deaths as covid victims if they test positive I no longer believe any of the numbers.

I am sorry for the very real people who have lost their lives, but by and large this whole thing is being manipulated by the greedy cash starved healthcare system, the media, and politicians.

My sister tested positive yesterday (Works in a care home where it swept through).

She seems fine at the moment. I'll be interested to see how it pans out.

Heya, Most of are folks that tested positive over in our care home felt fine all the way through. Only about 5 of the 30 showed any symptoms. A lot of people are getting this and just feeling normal.

5/6 of old nursing care patients with the virus didn't even show symptoms? Interesting. Didn't think that would be the case.

Did you see that video from a New York nurse that was posted a few pages pack? It was long but that was almost exactly what was happening. Except they also gave false positives and made people share a room with an infected person.

I read this elsewhere, anecdotal obviously but interesting

My wife is a nurse and has been for over 18 years. Do you know how many dipshit doctors order unnecessary labs, procedures, and minor surgeries when they know the patient has medicaid/medicare? Does the mole on your body look just like all the other ones? Nope, this one looks a little bigger, therefore it's "suspicious", better charge your state insurance $3,000 to surgically remove it. By the way, the test results came back totally benign. Better safe than sorry! I know you're only 35 and are in tremendous health, but preventative medicine is the best, so we should run a whole battery of unnecessary tests so I can make $6,000 off you. Allergies acting up this spring? No, I don't think we should give you a nasal spray before we run a $2,000 allergy test to confirm that you're allergic to pollen!

It's all such a fucking racket. At first, I could not believe the stories she would tell me. It's ridiculous the way hospitals do so much unnecessary shit to make money off people in this country.

Probably has been but I think its being covered up right now, at least by the media.

If a barber gets CV we know about it, if someone at the Ozarks gets CV we know about it.

Yet there has not been media stories about any protesters getting CV. So either the media is just not telling anyone, or CV is just not infectious and spreadable in large giant groups.
Or you can just look at the numbers.

the BLM protests/riots had no effect Covid19 numbers. I was worried when they were occurring, but it’s been well over two weeks now. The numbers don’t lie.

Very possible, though the cases are now more flat rather than decreasing as they were before, so we could be seeing the effect in the numbers remaining even rather than increasing. Lets see if the weekend can bring cases lower than 18/19K that we saw the last 2 weekends. 24K is still below the 30K+ mid week usually brings, but the hope was that the decline would continue. Up here we have seen a very sudden drop in cases even though we have been open for a month.

But if the protest/riots don't increase the numbers thats great because it means large gatherings, especially for young people pose little risk at all. We can then just make everything out doors for the summer time at least.

Not if you look at each states curves.

The numbers are significantly decreasing in place that had some of the largest riots I.e New York, Minnesota, Michigan. These are also the state’s that delayed restaurant/bars/store reopenings.

All the states that opened too early (Fla, Cali, Texas, etc) are seeing major rises. These all opened in May or earlier. The national curve looks flat, but only because the North East and parts of the Midwest are seeing decreases in numbers.

It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here. The virus spreads more easily when you are in close proximity to others, not wearing PPE, or in a poorly ventilated area. The protesters were In close proximity by and large, but most were wearing masks and they were all outdoors.

Cali Az Fl Tx had protest riots. Houston fallas miami phoenix LA all had big protests. And you said 2 weeks provrs no effect but tske openings a month or more ago as causing the spike.

But if its true that the protest had no effext then I agree with your last part and we can just enjoy the outdoors this summer with mask wearing. Take extra precautions inside and try and move as much business and activites out doors with masks.

Austin had a 200+ rise in case today. Protests coming home to roost.

Through most of april/may it was in the 60-80 new daily cases. Last week in the low 100's. Now we get a doubling over last week.

it's not the protests, but it may be fake news
