Congrats on your grandma. Did she test positive for antibodies, or is she currently positive?
Strange enough she tested negative at the end of March early April, when it was just starting. Then a few weeks ago she tested positive but had no symptoms. Never got symptoms either. I don't think she is officialy "negative" but its been weeks and she never developed anything.
Just chalk it up to luck, but she was the target demographic for this virus. Must be those Russian genetics.
I unfortunately expect hospitalizations to start picking up in the next 1 - 2 weeks in places like Florida, and then deaths to follow suit a couple weeks later, but I have more hope that it won't be a NY/Italy type situation.
Also, hard to rely on some of these hospitalization and death numbers with some of these governors. We already see thousands more pneumonia deaths than would be expected, and Desantis is now pushing to not count all ICU patients as ICU patients.
We just had 0 deaths today, but its hard to believe up here. Whatever numbers we get I think everyone should side eye them.
But we have to go with what we got and looks like this might be one of the lowest mondays in weeks, maybe even months. If we are going to see deaths its going to be in the 10-14 days. If there isn't a huge spike then the virus may have already killed the majority of people it would have front loaded.
Lets see if we get a big spike tomorrow due to back log of deaths.
