Most states governors are taking lockdown measures since last week, but they need help from the federal government, especially monetary help to poor people who live paycheck from paycheck, but he is refusing.
Some of them are already easing the restrictions due to pressure from supporters of the president.
Our president and his supporters are working hard to spread fake news about the disease, making it sound like mass hysteria and that is just a simple flu.
He wants that people go to start starving before most corona deaths happens, just to say that he was right and start helping somehow, but will be too late.

I was just asking because Brazil kept sneaking up that list higher and higher. Spain was playing games with this virus look at them now they are one of the big peakers. Brazil can't let this run loose.

Even California and NY takes strict measures one week ago, it;s already too late and the hospital would be overwhelmed in one month or two.
Florida and Texas would be quite concerning too. Many states would be fucked there are "packed church" by Easter.

Yeah, he can't, but the states will eventually need federal government help, some states are richer than others and can stay on lockdown for a extend period.
I don't even go on twitter or facebook anymore, lots of people are refusing to demand resources from the federal government since this will send a sign that the president is weak, so they're are attacking the governors and even sending death threats to some of them. Some of them say that older people lives must be sacrificed for the good of the people and that the virus is a bioweapon made by China so that a communist government could take our country, is really a sad situation.

Somehow I have the feeling that in the coming weeks it will be less about Europe, which will get the problem under control faster and contain the virus, but that the USA will become a big and possibly long lasting issue.
