What impressed me about this effort is its weight. Zeschuk said there was a team of 100 working on the game now and that this is the first of a trilogy of exclusive games for the Xbox 360. BioWare itself has only 260 employees. One team is working on Mass Effect, one on a PC game, one on an Xbox 360 engine, another on an unannounced Xbox 360 game. That represents a huge commitment to the Microsoft universe, and it really doesn't leave anything left over for Sony and Nintendo.

"The last generation served us well," Zeschuk said, referring to Jade Empire and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on the Xbox. "I like the 360. It's pretty well positioned and is a good piece of hardware. They are in a strong position this time. They're going to come out first and they could have a shot at leading the next generation. We believe it helps to associate yourself with one platform."

they recently even said that the next jade empire was ps3 exclusive. the rumors section seems to be pretty ps3 biased, but i guess it really depends on where they are getting their info

NWN 2 is being done by Obsidian, not Bioware.

MS has me anyway because of the absolutely fantastic interface for the 360. That, Rare, and Bioware, and I'm gonna go ahead and pick up my 360 at launch.

I'll still get a PS3 regardless for the BR-D functionality alone. It looks like the Revolution may lose out on my gaming dollars this time, no matter how cool the controller.

Dragon Age is the PC product that Bioware is making, and Obsidian Entertainment is doing NWN2.

The engine team is probably 10 people or less. So that is roughly 75 people working on the Xbox 360 game and Dragon Age, which sounds right.

One of the BioWare guys I talked to at E32k4 said that Microsoft was publishing it. He talked as if that info had already come out when they annoucned the game the previous day, it kinda surprised me.

You're right about MS not being too keen on PC games since they're putting them in the separate "Games for Windows" booth at E32k5. Really pissed me off at first as I was looking for AoE III at the MS booth to no avail.

Eh, Gabe has said a great deal about both future plans, and next gen consoles. Valve is pretty serious about Steam and episodal content, and doesn't seem at all fond of the new consoles.

Yeah, the entire Bioware rumor was based on them being at the Sony conference at E3...

KOTOR3 could still wind up on PS3, since Lucas owns the rights to it, but unless they get another good dev, it may not happen.. Bioware isnt dumb, they found a new fanbase on Xbox, they are sticking with it.

KOTOR isn't controlled by Bioware it's controlled by Lucasarts so it can go anywhere.

Since the Xbox managed to become the official console for gamers who used to be exclusive to the PC it become a very good fit for Bioware. Plus hell it's good that Bioware games stays away from the hardcore Playstation crowd 80% of whom wouldn't be able to get over the OMG BAD ART!!!11oneone1!!
