Vote with your heart mate, it's the simple answer :)

What? God no. Vote with your brain. The heart is an organ that pumps blood. The brain has 100 billion neurons and at least several 100 trillion connections.

deepest apologies. I couldn't resist.

Here's where the magic happens. Oh, what's that? Lime juice cordial and Biscoff? Don't mind if I do!

LOL No worries :P

I prefer the idea of voting for who represents your beliefs the best (so heart) rather than tactically voting (brain), but sadly our electoral system means we end up voting for the lesser of two evils rather than who we want :/

Voted Green, despite my constituency being a close labour-tory one. Don't want any responsibility for whatever those two would do to balls everything up. Can't wait to see the chaos tomorrow morning.

TV COVERAGE: Channel 4 begins in 5 mins. Sky also doing some warm up. Obviously nothing important until 10pm.

Time to order my election night staple, pizza! Yum.

Just convinced both my mum, dad, and my first time voter sister to vote Labour (her bf is con so he won't be happy haha). They're heading out now.

Really surprised I convinced my dad. He hasn't voted since Blair came into power and he's hated that decision and politics in general since.

0.024 voter power here, one of the safest red seats you'll find (Easington).

I'm a Lib Dem voter and they were a very distant second last election but I fully expect them to drop behind UKIP this go around. :/

Just popped over my parents, ended up having a long chat about politics....
They are both pensioners and, well let's be fair, Fucking loaded.
Haven't really spoken to them about politics for a while, always worry that they are going to get more right wing in their old age.

My dad had a massive rant about the Tories, ended up saying how ridiculous it was that they get winter fuel allowance, we need increase taxes, look after the more vulnerable better etc etc.
I gave him a hug :-)

But we get the exit poll at 10. Last time they got the Conservatives dead on and Labour 3 off, so that's probably a pretty good indication of what will happen.

Even the people who are running th polls this year think they'll be pretty out, though - the way the swing's working means it's only likely to be useful in the key marginals.

Oh yes, quite. I remember it being almost bang on in 2010. Can't possibly be that good this time :p

Awesome. :)

Unrelated, I'm heading out to grab some popcorn and beers in a min. Going to have a nap until 4am then watch until we have a clue what the hell is going on.

hmm.

Talking of heart, I think the Tories lack of heart will be their downfall, if that is what happens.
Their treatment of the poor - and it is the poor they target, if you discount the pr spin weasel words 'welfare cuts' thereby distancing the tangible person in the equation - it is the treatment of the poor that I think may get them out of government.
How you morally justify tax cuts for the rich whilst simultaneously kicking the poor in the teeth is very objectionable.

I've already got the parmos ordered and on their way! Not looking forward to getting up at 6am for a 10 hour shift tomorrow with an important report to write up and hand in. I'll be glad when the weekend hits.

I completely agree, sadly taxing the low earners even a couple per cent more gets much more money in taxes than raising the high earners because there are just so many more poorer people :(

I have C4 on silent atm (on the phone to my main bitch) but I hope it's better than 10 o clock Live or whatever it was. That had an amazing line up but was just fucking awful. I love DM though, and Paxo knows what's going on so hopefully it'll be good!
