Which is a clear implication that you don't care about it. It isn't important to you, so you didn't vote for it. It is important to me. But, like I said, I don't care who you voted for. We all do what we do for different reasons. That's fine.

You're seeing what you want to see. As I said, I voted for what's important to me. I also said I don't subscribe to the criticism the Conservatives face for its stance on the NHS and the Welfare State. I believe their approach will do good. Perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps I'm right. But if I think this is the best route for a better NHS, then it's what I'm going to vote for. Got it?

Stop putting shit in my mouth. You can't just go around making libellous 'implications' for people based on whatever subtext you may have interpreted.

Quite a lot of 2nd places for UKIP in the constituencies. Just a tad worrying. David Miliband to make a
not so
shocking return to politics me thinks.

Vauxhall had a Labour hold although that was a dead certain to be honest. Fairly happy although I am cautious about Vauxhall's gentrification however that's another story.

Who did you vote for?
I opted to spoil my ballot. For the first time in my life I couldn't endorse any of them in good faith, nor did I have a clear protest vote. As such I have no complaints regarding the results (though I'm mildly chuffed that Labour didn't get in).

UKIP got more votes than the SNP and Lib Dems combined

UKIP: 3,785,499
Lib Dem: 2,324,349
SNP: 1,454,436

Still waiting to see if Farage will get elected but I wonder how they'll do after this whether it was just a one time thing or if they're now a serious player.

What did she say?

"A conservative government would be giving the security agencies and law enforcement agencies the powers that they need to ensure they're keeping up to date as people communicate with communications data. We were prevented from bringing in that legislation into the last government because of the coalitions with the Lib Dems and we are determined to bring that through because we believe that is necessary to maintain the capabilities of our law enforcement agencies so they can continue to do the excellent job day in day out of keeping us safe and secure"

Will post source when its up.

my constituency turned labour from lib dem

a change i rather grudgingly helped to cause, thinking that i might have a chance of preventing the tories from taking power

Why? If they are for some reason all the same except for 1 policy that would save vulnerable disabled people £5000+ over the next 5 years, wouldn't that make the party with that policy slightly better?

The one thing I've learnt from this election is that there is no point in even looking at opinion polls , it was the same with the Scottish referendum pretty much up until the vote it was 50/50 before the no vote smashed it, same scenario here with the tories

Not quite the same shock for the referendum, but broadly, yes. I suppose it's because polls offer something to cling on to when nobody actually knows anything, and rolling news magnifies it.

Party affiliations aside, you steer very close to moral bankruptcy with comments such as these.

How you target the poor ahead of so many other considerations in society with the veneer of legitimacy is contemptible.

I'd rather my tax pounds were invested in the poor than leave them hungry.

Long term strategies to get them out of the poverty trap is so much more socially responsible than this almost psychopathic - by that I mean totally lacking empathy - striking at the little money that most of the less well off in our society get.

WTF? Of course I want to make sure the most vulnerable are protected. That doesn't mean a runaway welfare budget can simply be left unchecked. Proper reform of welfare would potentially mean a lower welfare budget *and* better targetting of help to those most in need.
