May Wrasslin' |OT| May I Fancy You To A Nice Arse Whipping?

The thing I wonder about is what they will let them do in WWE and even the tournament.

There is just no way they will be allowed to do a LOT of the stuff they do in Stardom and I can't imagine they will work at anywhere near the same pace. They will make everyone else look like complete shit.

I don't want to be too down on it but I am worried about how it will all turn out. I hope they don't fuck it up and everything works out well for everyone.

They let Brian Kendrick do a goddamn Burning Hammer in the CWC.

Other than the piledrivers, I think they'll be fine in terms of being held back.

Much like the CWC, I'm sure they won't be as slowed and watered down as they will once they transition to normal WWE matches. Unlike the CWC the overall talent level won't be as high so it'll mostly come down to who they're matched up against, but they will have to slow down considerably.

It'll work out for NXT because the watermark will rise, it'll be good for them because they'll make money, and it'll be good for Full Sail and everyone that watches women's wrestling just through the prism of WWE. If you're Stardom, the joshi scene, or people who liked watching their matches then it's not really good. It mostly just sucks, particularly for Io since she's in her prime as opposed to Kana who was winding down and Kairi whose body is starting to break down. She was spinning her wheels in Stardom, but there was always the chance she would be matched against Kairi or Mayu or Satomura with people like Hashimoto on the horizon. Now she's going to waste her best years in front of the Florida circuit.

Eh, I'm not too sure. She's young and extremely good. This doesn't come off like the Asuka signing did, where it's just an NXT thing (though with Asuka that has changed). I think Io will be more along the lines of a normal timeframe of NXT to main roster transition (12-18 months). So that's hardly a dent in her "best years".

It does really suck they will probably be on the Florida circuit for so long. You have to wonder how successful a women's wrestling show will be too, if they even know what they will do to make it compelling for people to watch (which is something WWE have been struggling with with basically every show they have this year). Oh well, hopefully it is all as good as it can be.

If there is a women's show, I'm hoping it's run by the NXT/UK group as opposed to the Raw/SD/205 group.

Not sure how moving up to the main roster to be subjected to shitty booking and shitty creative and worse matches are any better.

One unmentioned positive of going to WWE for Shirai and Hojo is that in WWE they can work a slower and probably safer style and still be better than a majority of the women there. Their careers will probably be longer and less painful than if they stayed working the way they were in Japan.

I mean whether it is or it isn't, I was just refuting the idea that she'll spend multiple years in NXT.

But hey, maybe she'll end up on SD where the booking of the women has mostly been good.

I think Kendrick just did that without saying anything. Its hard to say. Like I said, obviously I hope its great and look forward to watching whatever they do, it would just suck to see them get wasted in WWE and Stardom suffer badly.

Anyway I am listening to WOR. Alvarez makes a good point about this title change via DQ match. Wont that make it the least extreme match ever because everyone will be afraid of being DQd?

It's kind of fucking hilarious that the guy who was known before WWE for being in CZW and the weapon matches is working the match in Extreme Rules where being DQ'd costs him the title.

How was Raw last night? I tuned in to see that the main event was Seth vs Bray and quickly tuned out.

Also, lol at Finn Balor's big match against a top guy to promote his WWE 24 episode being against Roman.

From the Fire Pro Early Access thread:

Normal Match
Steel Cage Deathmatch
Electric Current Blast Deathmatch
Land Mine Blast Deathmatch
Battle Royale
Mixed Martial Arts Rules

Sephzilla, when you migrate to Fire Pro, will their there (;_;) be a Deathmatch Championship and/or Shooter Championship?

Bayley wins this on a pole match by default due to height right? Wait never mind, the extra boost Nia will give Alexa will be enough.

I think Ambrose and Cena had one on Raw

Ambrose won the match but somehow Cena got the title shot
Oh yeah, the contract on a pole match.

Didn't Ambrose get the title shot, though? It was for HIAC 2014 which lead to the infamous Bray hologram.

Edit: Wait never mind, the match was for a chance to fight Rollins, no title shot.

Yeah it was for the right to fight Ambrose. It's just hilarious that Cena got a title shot as his reward for losing. That was still at/near the height of Super Cena ridiculousness

Trying to decide if i should take my 8 yr old to Survivor Series in November or to a RAW or SMACKDOWN show in July.

For SS , I would have to drive her to Houston which is fine as we have family there.

PPV is way more of an 'event' than a Raw or SD. Tailgating, hype and build-up pre-show, then storylines giving you a result.

Both is a good choice too though :lol

I can't remember what WWF PPV I went to but I had box seats and it kinda took away from the atmosphere.

has anyone been able to figure out yet how WWE has this super deep roster, but continues to trot out the same matches week in week out? I feel like I watched this same RAW last week, and the week before that.

The roster isn't as deep when you divide it by 3 and don't allow the different parts to intermingle.

Hell, I'm only counting Raw, Smackdown and NXT. You could say they divide it by 5 and include 205 Live and WWE UK.

Will Rusev get the WWE Title match he’s demanding?

The Bulgarian Brute has refused to compete on SmackDown LIVE since being sent to Team Blue in the Superstar Shake-up. Rusev has made it clear that the only way he will step into the ring is if he receives a WWE Championship Match at Money in the Bank on June 18.

The bruiser has yet to receive an answer to his demands and declared that he is coming to SmackDown LIVE to get one from Commissioner Shane McMahon. Will Rusev get the answer he’s looking for? Or will he be packing his bags to return to Bulgaria?
