This is actually pretty smart. Now AJ can play dirty against Reigns and still look like the face and they can have Reigns actually fill the role of the heel.
 
I know they think Roman going on rampages will get him good face heat....but not when he does it against a smaller dude who just a second ago didn't hit him with a chair because he felt bad about it.

You guys are like not actually watching if you think they are booking AJ as the heel.

It's a face vs. face feud where the heels are AJ's friends who do all the heel stuff against AJ's will. There's a reason JBL is completely losing his fucking mind over how strong Roman is and how much AJ sucks. They're trying (and failing) to book Roman as a tweener badass.

They were trying to show you what Roman saw happen to explain why he acted like a mega douche heel. C'mon guys. I know it's all shit, but at least complain about things worth complaining about.
 
I really like how this whole thing is panning out with AJ and Roman. I really hope WWE goes the way I hope it's going. AJ could be the ultimate babyface that replaces Daniel Bryan at the main event tier.
 
I'm enjoying this storyline so much more than the Roman-Authority angle. I'm hoping AJ goes nuts on Roman next week, but if he stays soft it's not all that bad either.

I'm also feeling happy that AJ Styles is thoroughly involved in the main storyline of the WWE.
 
The only thing with the ending is that you can tell they expected Reigns to get cheered at least powerbombing AJ through the table. Instead it was still boos.

In a perfect world, AJ would win the title and we'd get the WK10 rematch between him and Nakamura for the belt at Summerslam and this time AJ wins.

But this is not a perfect world. And the Styles-Nak rematch will happen sometime on a random RAW in 2017 with no pre-build or hype and last 5 minutes before both guys are squashed by Baron Corbin.

AJ Styles had mixed matches with legendary in ring performer Chris Jericho. Even Chris Jericho could only do so much with a limited rookie.

But with true ring general Roman Reigns leading the charge they have nothing but ten and eleven star matches. The math checks out.

What? I didn't get that at all. If anything, it was meant to confuse the crowd. AJ was the ultimate good guy in that whole thing.
 
Folks saying this was a bad Raw are jaded

This is the best it's been in a long time. They're feeling out different routes/feuds they can explore with all of the new talent but seriously guys....this is about as good as it'll get with 3 hour PG Raw

Again, look back to fucking 2010 or whatever when every main event was Cena/Orton clash of the titans and it was literally the same shit every week

Now every show you get some decent promos, some neat spots, at least a couple of good matches, etc

I know a lot of the fun of watching wrestling is hating the product but come on fam

It's not a good show, it's not a bad show. It's THE show

Roman is good at wrestling. The bullshit where crowds chant "you can't wrestle" at him makes them look stupid imo.

Reigns to his credit has good matches with the likes of Kane, Show and Sheamus. Strowman is of course a level below even Show.
 
I actually really liked that post-match angle with how things escalated due to some misunderstandings (and Anderson/Gallows being heels). Both AJ & Reigns were justified in their actions.

Now it's personal and we can move on to a real feud and drop the babyface "respect" stuff.
