May Wrasslin' |OT| Super Strong Style 16 - Thread Edition 2015

how was Bryan's fate sealed because of fans?

He needed time off and to not win a belt. Fans cheered for him to come back early, then booed mercilessly and endlessly when he did and didn't win the Rumble or the belt, so the company threw them a bone by giving him the IC one and he got hurt that same week. If even one of the above (him coming back early, and the fans booing what the company does to keep him healthy and belts being defended) doesn't happen, none of this (him having to vacate another belt exactly a year after vacating one) happens.

It wasn't the fans who cleared him
It wasn;t the fans who had him wrestle the same style
It wasn't the fans who told him to see this doctor instead of a real one.

The fault for Bryan getting re-injured falls on himself and the WWE for failing to make changes.

The rumble shit was bad booking of having Bryan come back the way he did and Roman cutting new generation era promos written by Vince and Roman's shitty PPV interviews.

"We'll stop watching if he's not on TV!"

"Well goddamn, get that little guy on TV. Make him wrestle. Whatever it takes, that's what the fans want"

Y'all deserve Nick F'n Gage.

These posts are so bad. He was cleared by doctors to come back. You don't come back early unless your cleared by the doctors. Plus he saw a real doctor for his shoulder injuries. The whole second surgery never happened because the doctors couldn't agree if it would work or not. So he saw someone that NFL player saw and it helped cure him.

Its not the fan fault for this, Its on him for not changing his style. He was yelled at for those suplexes done to him by Harper. The company tried to get him to change but he refused. So this happened. So if he comes back again he has to change his move set and not take stupid bumps on his head anymore. Plus all this might of just happened because of the style he worked for all those years before he came to the WWE.

Bryan did some stupid, questionable shit during his indie days, but he wasn't doing ALL of his highspots in EVERY single match like he does in WWE. That has to take a toll. At least on the indies he had his technical wrestling to fall back on, but somewhere along the line someone decided that Bryan shouldn't be presented as 'submission master', but rather as 'flying goat'.

I doubt someone in the back was telling him to do all those spots in every match. In his upcoming book him and Cesaro decided WWE is a parody of pro wrestling. So in his mind he had to do this to get noticed and get on the top because of his look and height.

The thing is when he reached that point where the fans loved him no matter what he did and after the injury he could of went to that submission style but he didn't for what ever reason. Instead he went to headbutts and saying Yes to Harper suplexing him twice.

WWE really needs to tone down the suicide dive spots. They do at least what, one every other match? It seems like all of the small to medium sized guys do them and it doesn't have the wow factor it used to.

In their eyes if you aren't 6'3" or taller you have to fall from higher heights to go over.

Its why somebody like big show can work nothing but corner chops but somebody like Bryan has to do Benoit style diving headbutts.

EC is pretty Carney of wwe has done. It takes place on the last day of the free trial. Watch them show it at 9 to lock people in for a month

Anybody who's gonna scramble as soon as Elimination Chamber ends to cancel so they can save themselves ten dollars is not the customer the WWE wants.

The WWE wants a dad who buys a PPV for their kid who's a huge Cena fan,and then forgets about it for six months.

{Which is why viewership of the archived footage is so low-why would a ten year old give a shit about Halloween Havoc 1993?)

For a roster depleted with injuries, is it just me or is this upcoming schedule a little ridiculous?

May 17th - WWE Payback
May 20th - WWE NXT Takeover: Unstoppable
May 31st - WWE Elimination Chamber
June 14th - WWE Money in the Bank

Injured roster is usually the best time for other talents to step it up and impress. Hope this is the case.

modern WWE wrestlers thinks 'stepping it up to impress' just means making a few extra passive aggressive posts on twitter

Unfortunately yeah. Hopefully someone puts on a real barn burner during Elimination Chamber or Payback.

Titus O'Neill I'm calling you out. Make it happen, friend.

1) Neville is amazing. Man hes good. And I'm talking facials etc........

2) I fell less and less bad about HHH and the WWE squashing Sting, and hurting his legacy, because Sting should have never set foot in the WWE.

3) I feel for Bryan, this has been such an awful 13 months for him. Really feel for him.

4) Seth had a poor choice of words calling Kane a cancer. I am sure someone talked to him after.

5) The Macho Man rolling in his grave was pretty insensitive too.. I cringed sometimes last night.

6) Announcers in the WWE are at an all time low in quality. JBL is so bad, I actually want the King back on RAW. He is just a Vince parott, and he ads nothing other than "This isn't Starrcade this is Wrestlemania" Such stupid stuff.

7) How many weeks in a row will Cener come out and pretend he respects the crowds right to boo him, and then pander to the hometown, by trying to get a cheap pop. Dude is the most stale wrestling charterer I have ever seen in my life.

8) When HHH is not around, the show really suffers.

9) I wish Noble and Mercury were active wrestlers.

10) Im glad that Harper and the other dude are back together, Brey should come back too; because he has been completely lost since they broke up.

What is the WWE doing with Ziggler? Hes going to eventually become older, and they have done nothing with him in 5 years. It actually makes me kinda sick to my stomach.

He's still getting TV time every week, I don't think he has anything to complain about really. It's not like he has advanced his skill any in those 5 years.

He's not gonna be there much longer. It feels like both sides have just accepted they're parting ways the second his contract's up, and they're booking exactly like he's expendable.

Soooooo has anyone talked about the fact that Brock Lesnar was drawn in the concept art for the new Assassin's Creed game?

to be fair, everybodies in ring is going to get a bit stale in WWE

I want Neville to bust out his poisoned Frankensteiner (the one where he gives a concussion)

I drew last year's Tournament of Death. Full of people I don't know. I'm pleased with that though, I'd rather the most recent one if not one of the first which I've already seen. o/
