Well, I'll be. Good for them. Maybe one day they can find themselves out of the indies and back on TV.
They're far better off wrestling in the indies (TNA).
In WWE, they'd just be cowardly jobbers on the level of the Usos occasionally fighting over giant penny belts that no one cares about.

Also, tables are no longer PG.

Bubba's doing far more for his legacy in TNA right now than Jericho did with his cup of coffee with the WWE prior to Brazilgate where he lost the most consecutive number of title matches on PPV since the heyday of face Batista and had an outright embarassing feud with CM Drunk. He's better off touring with Fozzy or trying to host another game show.

It's probably for the best.
The only thing Jericho has done in this latest comeback effort is tarnish his legacy.

People are going to start ranking him below Bret Hart and Edge in the category of "greatest Canadian wrestlers" and it's probably good that he gets to exit before they start bumping him below the likes of Bobby Rooooooooode.

I'll miss the jacket.

Watch Randy get added to the WWE title schmoz with Punk, Bryan and Kane now and WIN the belt.

You know he came back to to put over Punk right? His wins or loses mean nothing for his legacy maybe for you but for most don't think that.

He will be back and I fear for Chael Sonnen when he goes to Brazil.

He sucked at putting Punk over.
Putting Punk over doesn't mean a thing if you're not built up as a threat to Punk.
Jericho never was.

Jericho put Heath Slater over in NXT. What did that do for Heath Slater? Did it mean anything?
Jericho put Evan Bourne over in a string of unhyped matches on RAW? What did that do for Evan Bourne? Did it mean anything?

NO.

If you want a textbook example of how to come back and put a guy over, look at Lance Storm's feud with Mike Bennett in Ring of Honor.
That is how you come back to put a guy over and have it MEAN something.

They did a table match at extreme rules and Cody got thrown into one so they are PG. Also, some people actually liked the Jerico and Punk feud and also again he came back to put over Punk.

His matches with Punk were very good.
They were OK. Given the stature of the two men involved, I'd argue they were disappointing and didn't live up to expectations. The fact that Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk have easily put every Punk/Y2J match to shame without trying at every opportunity should tell you plenty.

His lose to Slater was not meant to put him over and the Evan Bourne thing was meant too but its not all up to him to put over people to make stars. Thats up the WWE to put him over more to make him winning over Jericho mean something.

Didn't Jericho have dates booked for Fozzy this summer?

Yeah I'm thinking this whole thing was a work just to get Jericho his time off.

Fixed.

Everything about Jericho's return aside from his matches has generally been disappointing. The way he cycled through different styles of returns was hilarious, but never really paid off with anything big (in the ring at least, we got dozens of .gifs from it). The hints he dropped in interviews he held before his return about other wrestlers copying his style seemed like he would come back to claim what was his, and pitting him against Punk - who had the "indignant performer full of righteous anger" pegged - seemed like the build to a great feud. Then we got the C.M. Drunk Saga. I don't even know what he would have done before this fake suspension, but I don't expect anything impressive to come out of it. I think that my expectations were measured, and in the end I feel that Jericho's return failed to meet them.

It's a shame, too, because his in-ring segments with Punk still probably qualify as the best comedy bits that the WWE's aired all year :/

I figured the Jericho suspension is legit. It makes no real sense for them to do an angle like this, writing of one of their main guys, on a house show in Brazil.

His nerd indie past doesn't exist. Never once has he been called the american dragon Bryan Danielson Daniel Bryanson ring ding honor in WWE.

I know you're joking, but he's been called "American Dragon" in WWE before. Both Josh and Matt referred to him as the American Dragon in his early days with the fed. And he was called Brian Danielson after he was "fired" from NXT and came back too.

That's why I loved Matt Striker on commentary. He would always slide in small references to a wrestler/diva's past.

Josh and Matt don't count, only the experts King and Cole matter. And if you're not playing Booker bingo that night he doesn't count either.

Not making sense is one of the trademarks of WWE Management.

Seriously though, it seems like a work to be because of the whole interview they put up on the main site. They don't usually make big interviews on there when they suspend people or let people go; that gives me the impression that they want some buzz to form around this story.

Or they could have just changed their mind on a whim and suspended him to dodge some criticism, I really don't know, I don't understand the company anymore.
