May Wrestling |OT2| We watch it so you don't have to

When Triple H talks about it on a media conference call and Tweets about it, it's part of the match's story, especially since WWE has an expectation that a WWE fan follows everything about it.

I love my limb work (I wouldn't have gone to Evolve shows without the limb work and grapplefuck), but I don't get hung up on it if the the match's story isn't about it.

We can't have it both ways. We can't say that he didn't sell enough in a flippy floppy match and then say that he shouldn't have distracted from the flippy by selling limb-based damage.

I can, there was no need to work in a match long knee injury... just take the screw, the kick, power out of the F4 and move on. (or don't have that spot in the match period because it didn't add shit to the match anyway except some Luger level screaming from Ospreay).. or sell it and limp around but have that actually affect your offense... One or the other... But don't make it part of the entire match but have zero effect on your offense because that's just ridiculous.

He did everything people were giving Rollins shit for.

Speaking of kayfabe injuries, what the hell was up with Sami being completely okay last night after doing a stretcher job the week before? What was the point of it?

Daniel Bryan's probably not coming back to Talking Smack is he...

He's on paternity leave. There's another year in his contract, no way are they not going to use him. And I suspect he'll be happy about that.

Also: WWE will let him wrestle again. Not sure how, but convinced it'll happen. It'll be on the next contract, and it'll wash their hands of anything that happens.

Boots, can you recommend say 10 events or matches to watch for the Four Pillars of AJPW? I want to get more versed in NJPW & AJPW history which seems to be a bit harder to piece together whereas NWA/WCW is much easier.

Just remember these awesome things are coming to Fire Pro too.

  • Exchange Blows: That classic back-and-forth contest of fighting spirit where wrestlers take turns trading hits until one (or both) of them falls.

  • Overhauled Edit Mode: Now each body part supports up to 9 texture layers for deeper customization. In a future post, I’ll explain how we made the interface more user-friendly.
  • Edit Mode: Create custom wrestlers, referees, teams, rings and championship belts! Workshop support makes it easy to share your creations. (More info about the Workshop in a future post, I promise.)
  • Move Rename: Since you can customize every other facet of your wrestler, it’s only appropriate that you can now also rename their signature moves.
  • Okite Yaburi: Japanese wrestling term that implies a blatant diregard for the law. In the west we’d say “Move steal.” Once per match, you’re allowed to use your opponent’s finishing move against them in the ultimate sign of disrespect.

As long as they make it easy to upload other people's creations in the new Fire Pro, I'll be a happy camper. I found an amazing save file for the last Fire Pro on PS2 that had all the indie stars and current wrestlers and such that I used till I didn't play anymore.

You still can't even store MP3 files on the PS4 hard drive directly. I wouldn't count on that feature carrying over to the PS4 version
Doesnt share factory support mp3 and you can store it stuff on that? I remember using music for something long ago, wonder why no one else has used a similar system.

You can store anything you like, the game just needs the tool to play/use them. PES lets you import graphics and names from a USB device to the internal HDD.

So help me if we can use art assets created in other programs for logos or something I will go crazy with some roster, ring and belt additions. If you think VGCW was something before...wait till its in a GOOD wrestling game with that level of editing.

Even 2k allows you to do that.....I'm pretty sure at least.

FPW is probably a more interesting game to do a CAW league in anyway, the AI/AI matches aren't totally unbearable slogs.

And you can do stupid gimmick shoot fights where rolling someone up causes them to be knocked out.

Final day of Block A was really good stuff. With how the tournament was shaping up, it makes sense for Ospreay to take it even if it appears to be a given that he'll win back to back BoSJ.

Ospreay's selling was fine. He sold it until his body language communicated that he had gotten past it.
