i suppose everyone here is forgetting simple dietary guidelines
if you eat less calories than you burn in a day, you will lose weight
if you eat more calories than you burn a day, you will gain weight
5000 calories is a lot for most people, even those that exercise
you could eat 5000 calories a day of vegetables and you are still going to gain weight
Exactly. I am sick of the food Nazi's telling me where and what I should eat. I can go into any grocery store and get food that is just as bad or worse than the worst at McDonalds, are we going to bash all grocery stores here too?
A couple of years ago, I went on a diet, and do you know where I ate lunch almost every day during the summer? McDonalds. But I just ate their burger that didn't have cheese, no mayo. Had an Iced tea with it. I lost 40 pounds over that summer. For me, I can't eat french fries, potato chips, etc. all the time because they have alot of fat, which means CALORIES. I love Pizza, but I can scarf down 1500 calories in pizza in one sitting if I don't watch it. But, I can go to Wendy's and have a chilli and a salad, and be fine. I just can't order the large frosty to go with it. I used to go to Tim Horton's all the time, good soups and sandwiches, you can eat real healthy there. But the also sell those EVIL donuts, and MUFFINS. Let's burn down Tim Horton's!!
Geez, again, its not complicated, fewer calores IN compared to what you burn, GOOD. More calories IN compared to what you burn, BAD. Eat food with tons of fat, BAD. Eat a balanced diet, GOOD.
