It is me or do they drench this stuff in Mac sauce? I like it, but damn they must put two tablespoons of the stuff.

hands down best mcdonalds burger, maybe even best burger i've ever had. better than five guys. 10/10. i need another one right now.

Just had the burger. I liked it enough to want to try the chicken version next.

Same. And even though McD's recently got rid of Hot Mustard, they added creamy habenero and it is pretty damn good. Its more spicy than their hot mustard was, and it still goes great with their fries imo

tasted like a big mac with bad bacon and bad grilled onions.

it's okay, it's mcdonalds, i expect these things to be bad. They're trying to make a "high class" burger as cheaply as humanly possible. I really just go into it with a checklist of basic flavor hits-- it's tangy from the sauce, there's a smokiness that resembles bacon, and that classic mcdonalds beef taste that isn't good but familiar and salty. it's kind of fatty, so I am full until dinner. mission accomplished...it's sort of a food!

You couldn't been more wrong. McDonalds already addressed this. It's the exact same food you get.

This was amazing, thank you for posting this (even though it was a month ago).

I dated a photographer so I knew that tricks are used (lard for ice cream so it doesn't melt under the lights, for example) but I had no idea that for burgers they stagger the layers like that to show what would otherwise be under the bun. I mean, once you see it it's completely brilliant and obvious but it still blew my mind. Like seeing how a magician does a trick.

McDonald's bacon shits all over Burger King, Wendy's, Carl's Jr, Jack-in-the-box, etc. Not sure how you can call it "something that resembles bacon". It's thicker, crispier, you can't see through it like all those other restaurants, etc. I dare say it's some of the best fast food bacon around for the mega-burger-chains. It's not gourmet or anything, but it certainly compares favorably to their competition's bacon.

Well I've now tried both the beef and grilled chicken version. I prefer the chicken. Only problem is sometimes the chicken piece inside doesn't cover as much of the bun's area as it should. Really hate that. They need to make sure the chicken is of comparable size to the beef patty.

When you walk into a McDonald's, you know what to expect, but within that context, I think this is the best burger on their menu.
