You're in a sales thread. His thoughts are hardly irregular. Would you rather he used soothing adjectives to make it all better?

"In the latest weekly news that are coming out of Japan, we found that PS3 & X360 are keeping the heroic effort of trying their best to keep up to the supernatural demon speed that have been shown by Wii & DS. As an objective fans, we will wave our "Ganbare" flag, and cheer them on even though we know that even with a miracle, it is impossible for them to catch up to those two monster. After all, what is important is not winning or losing, but that you have tried your best and give it your all".

I hope the above paragraph is soothing enough. :D

I am sure you can do better than this, Panther. Find a real "bitch fight" pics, and don't forget to put your lotuschart logo on it :).

Nah, I think hes talking about the Hot Shots Golf bump in late July/early August last year.

Ah, yeah, you're probably right! That was the one week spike. The spike in week-to-week sales was a few months later and was caused by SSM5/white ps3/price drop.

So according to Gamefaqs Inazuma Elven and Sigma Harmonics will both be out this week. Any predictions for their respective first day/week sales? :I

My prediction:
Sigma > Inazuma, but then Inazuma will have longer legs. I'm curious what S-E and L5 will ship for them. I have a feeling J League will debut above them both though.

*points at black graph*

That's affectionately known around here as the "gundabump." Gundam is pretty big in Japan.

edit:
wait, are you talking about the spike in March/April or the July/August one (that looks a bit more sustained)?

Where did you put all those 41K RE0 Wii game you bought, cvxfreak ? I don't think your apartment can fit those many games. :)

Aha, right. I need to make the VS pages just automatically generate those sentences, so I can stop making such mistakes.

Just for shits, if DS stopped selling and PS3 continued at this week's rate, it would catch up in 2,155.5 weeks (December 2, 2049). :lol

In other words, NEVER (unless Sony increase the 10 years plan to 43 years plan).

Really? For some reason I got the impression that Inazuma is going to do Layton levels, sales wise. Sigma... I'm not to sure about. How did previous offerings from Sting do?

First time ever a 360 title has been in the top 10 for more than one week. Right?

Whoa RTG showing nice legs last week 130k(MC) vs this week 134k(Famitsu). I'm hoping Inazuma does well, seems like a neat crossover game. I'm guessing number 9 is Daigasso! Band Brothers DX or Taiko DM 2?, DS sales seems to be picking up too, nice.

Can't translate, too busy laughing at Sony conference.

Anyway, WOW at Rhythm Tengoku legs. It sold 100k less than PSP in its debut week but will now most likely outsell it.

So I assume there was some sort of holiday last week?

Wednesday through Friday were in the Obon holiday. Its a time to return to hometowns and visit the graves of relatives. Most people have off of work. And a lot of people will go shopping.

It's not big like Golden Week, but my wife who works in retail says that spending is increased.

Nice legs on Warioland Shake It. Fatal Frame 4 is doing alright as well. I expected bad word-of-mouth regarding the bugs and glitches to kill off any legs.

So Wario Land Shake looks like it will comfortably hit 100K and so at least decent business.

Also, Fatal Frame IV looks like it will wind up doing comparable numbers to II and III, which is surprising given the bugs.

"Bug" singular, isn't it? IIRC, there's only one bug that players have run into.

I actually thought Fatal Frame is doing better than expected...

How did the other versions hold up?
Are those numbers its 2nd or 3rd week

There's also the matter of a post-game mode not showing up in the menu and some glitches in the ghost bestiary, IIRC.

Ah, yeah, I remember hearing about those.

The last two games did about 60-70k lifetime, I think, so it seems likely FFIV will match them eventually.

Last week it was established that Fire Emblem's first week beat out (barely) all of the GBA games' first weeks. How about second weeks, though?

Sealed Sword: 48K (174K)
Blazing Sword: 42K (151K)
Sacred Stones: 27K (173K)

So it's still in the lead after week two, but maybe won't have the legs of the first two on GBA. This is the same thing that happened with the last GBA FE: It started out on top, but fell behind in the end.

damn, rhythm tengoku is a huge hit, even boosting the ds weekly sales. its a great game so im glad.
Yeah, half a million in three weeks is incredible. Especially compared to the first one. The game itself is incredible too so every sale is well deserved. ;-)

Wario sales are great, hopefully it can keep this up for at least a couple of more weeks.
Fire Emblem DS did good too, hopefully it will have some legs.
DQ5 keeps trucking along, as well as numerous other titles.

And of course the hardware sales are great too, so a good week overall.
