I haven't been following the sales threads too extensively, but why is the DS software (seemingly) selling so much better than GBA software has? The GBA had no non-pokemon million sellers, and the DS is looking like it will have quite a few so soon into its life cycle.

The games fit japanese tastes more than Game Boy Advance's games did?

Thats fucking amazing. Go Nintendo. Id never have thought that they would have been able to compete with PSP, yet they proved me wrong. They are dominating in every region at the moment.

Correction: much more non-games which appeal to non-gamers (ie Nintendogs, Brain Training and to a lesser extend, Animal Crossing).

BTW, those quotes are classic indeed (just like those Nintrix photoshops). :lol
 
BTW, anyone think this enormous, out of this world success of the NDS in Japan, could be any indication as to how the Rev will perform? They both have comparable strategies at the least (unlike previous console/handheld generations).
 
Depends totally on the games. I think it will be at least more successful than GameCube, but it might be cometing with PlayStation 3 if everthing works out well.

This will still be funny. I'm really not convinced that the DS can be beat in Japan now though, the market seems to have the fever there.
