You forgot that two new coloris come out. Shipment = 150k old and 150k new. Potentially 300k of Nintendo DS and the resurgence of the Zelda series with Phantom Hourglass due to the DS itself and a 39/40 from Famitsu.

In other words, a monster week.

I hope Growlanser VI and Mana Khemia do good...at least on par with other games from their respective makers. Gust needs some success on other IPs so they don't milk Atelier over and over (I think its a little late for that though) :lol

Zelda has everything to do good. It'll be biggest release this week and it has a huge DS hardware shipment. Although like most DS games, its total sales will depend on legs.

6/28 has a good few of important releases too...and July looks killer too. I fear some will bomb since there is quite competence these days.

Sucks for RE4, but I think N.A sales will more than make up for it.

I want to wait and see what happens with RE4 over the next fortnight. It appeared to sell out of its entire initial shipment within 14 days & I wonder if it’s a case of there not being games on shelves, rather than demand dropping so sharply. Perhaps not, but is it maybe worth giving it a little space before declaring it dead?

Vinnk's been reporting that DSs are definitely findable in his small village, so I had thought the severe shortages were over. There was also a mention in Next-Gen.biz's "Week in Japan" that DSs were finally available in a larger city (Tokyo maybe?) if you looked around enough. Are you saying that the DS is still impossible to find in the larger cities?

I may need to extend that shortage line on the graph some more. :lol

Apples and potatoes, Lance. Biohazard 4 isn't an old classic brought out in some new form every several years, sometimes with a complete makeover. Super Mario Bros. wasn't released on 3 platforms in 3 years to great success each time.
