Dragon Quest VIII sold 2.24 million its first week. If there's anything bigger than that, it's before the period covered on Garaph. I did check Dragon Quest VII, though, and its first week was
only 1.86 million.
EDIT: Checked some more non-DQ older ones, found at least one larger.
