Reminds me of Itadaki Street Wii. I figured that game was good for an easy 300k, but it struggled to even reach half that.
Actually, after Slime Morimiri 3 and now KH3D, I sort of wonder if DQM will do bit less than we're expecting? I was thinking around 1m, but now I'm sort of reconsidering...
Hmm I don't think expecting a million for DQM remake was reasonable in the first place. I mean, the DQ remakes are in the 1m range along with new brand new DQM games.
For those calling doom and gloom on the PSVita, Let's put this in perspective guys. 3DS also had a week where it dipped below 10,000 and look how it's doing now
I swear that post was sarcasm. Did I miss something?
Wait, did Sony announce a Vita price drop?
I swear that post was sarcasm. Did I miss something?
Nah, that's what I thought too.

Yeah, I'm pretty much guessing this is a large part of it. People felt burned by 358/2 Days and Re:Coded, and since KH3D is on the 3DS, the successor to the DS, people simply felt 3D would be another game in the same vein as those two and didn't want to take a chance on it. Them creating that one stupid anniversary bundle that lumps KH3D, 358/2 Days and Re:Coded together probably didn't help this perception much either, so it's understandable that people would be skittish about it, especially since your post isn't the first I've read about people feeling that way.How has KH3D marketing been? I'll be honest: Before that 3D hologram presentation they did for it about a month back, it was not on my radar: I was under the impression it was going to be another really half-assed effort like the DS games.
Now, I don't live in Japan, but if the perception there was anything remotely similar to mine, it would more than explain the sales.
This is a joke post, right?

I swear to God, GAF's sarcasms meters are broken beyond repair.
How about, when will be the last week PSP outsells Vita?It seems we've already talked so much in previous weeks about Vita going sub-10k, that there isn't anything more to say now that it's actually happened.
How about, when will be the last week PSP outsells Vita?
KH 3D and Love + are games that really need a re-release on 3DS in + 6-12 months.
Kingdom Hearts is such a mismanaged franchise. It's been 6 years since KH2 and after that pretty much all the spin-offs have been released on different platforms. Seems like an effective way to kill the series.

And wow Kinect Star Wars sold 2k x360 consoles
Oh boy, now u done it! :3other musings:
Kingdom Hearts seems to sell better on the Playstation then on Nintendo.

There may be a new NINTENDO DIRECT soon, like, 8pm April 14th (this Saturday), Japan time of course~!
leaking from NINTENDO KOREA.
Or maybe it's just the Korean one.
Nintendo 3DS launches on 28th April in South Korea, so it's probably a local edition. It is totally possible. But last time three conferences were on the same day.
Others (like Game Gear) had lit screens first, but they came with crippling battery dependencies.lunchwithyuzo said:But Nintendo was the first to use rechargable batteries and backlit (well, frontlit at first) screens for their handeld game systems. Ahead of Sega, SNK, Bandai, Nokia, Atari and whoever else.
Why won't Sony do something? Anything?
Sony has forecasted an annual loss of $6.4bn, double its previous estimate and a record loss for the firm.
The grim forecast comes as Sony's new chief executive, Kazuo Hirai, prepares a turnaround plan, which he is expected to outline on Thursday.
Reports say the company is planning 10,000 job cuts as Sony exits businesses that are not profitable or central to the firm's strategy.
The company blamed the record loss on tax charges related to its US business.
It will be the company's fourth year of losses.
I'm pulling for Sony to have a big E3 for Vita.

So the keynote is tomorrow. I'm really curious to see which business will be shut down.
Ofc they will have a big E3 for Vita. With Western-developed games nobody in Japan gives a fuck about. Japan is also the region who is the most invested in handheld gaming. Do you see where I'm going with this?
I seriously hope Sony's Vita strategy isn't what I think it is: sustaining a handheld on western support and sales only.
I mean, not even Sony can be that thick, right?
Kaz new strategy I think.
Nintendo 3DS launches on 28th April in South Korea, so it's probably a local edition.
Wait wut?
The 3DS hasn't been launched in South Korea yet?!?
No
Atari Lynx
TurboExpress
Sega Game Gear
all had back lit screens 10+ years before the GBA, even many years before the GB Light.
Game Gear also had an official rechargeable battery pack
