lol i'd say it did as well as it could be expected to, it was never planned as a brain training style hit, it'll probably eek out a respectable (but still low) ltd over time

I don't understand why Nintendo releases these games now. People who have 3DS's or about to buy one are most likely hardcore gamers. Imo Nintendo should release these kind of games next year, after Mario Kart/3D Land etc.

I wonder if thats really the case.

They showed a gender disparity chart at their conference, and like 45% of the owners are female, and I find it extremely unlikely that the amount of core gamers is split like this between the genders, unless someone says that the core Nintendo female gamers are as much as core male gamers, which is still quite unlikely.

Nintendo keep releasing core games -> gamers says console will never be as successful and thus they want Nintendo to make new IPs.

Nintendo makes new IPs -> waste of time, just make hardcore-oriented games.

i think Mario Kart well be the biggest game this Holiday in Japan.

Even if it's during the holidays, I don't think Vita would have a bigger launch week than 3DS launch week and 3DS should be higher than that with 2nd week of MH3G, 1st week of IE Go, and holidays. The only way I see Vita outsells 3DS on its launch week is 3DS has supply issues for the holidays.

4.5 millions.
