meh let's not count it out yet. The install base is a bit too low and the competition a bit too strong this holiday for it to break any records, but the series has pretty good legs. If they release a third SKU sometime next year in a less flooded month it might still catch up to the previous games. Jumping to a new platform could make it seem like a more significant release than just another yearly sequel

And I have been telling for a long time that it is how you use Amazon that matters, and I have been using it in prediction leagues and the result hasn't been really bad, you know!

I thought we were talking about the 3DS, not the games ¿?¿? And even Mario being the most established franchise ever, no MK has ever debuted with 800.000 FW. Not even MK DS or MK Wii, two MK on two systems that were on fire HW wise (not like the 3DS).

I don't care how good you're making predictions, but if you say things like "I won't be surprised if MK7 FW is 800.000" or "if Zelda SS sells 10 million WW" (when no MK or Zelda has ever done that) and then throw the Amazon argument you lose all your credibility, sorry.

Well, looks like 3DS won't be going anywhere anytime soon. If MK7 doesn't make up for this, 3DS will have zero must-have games in its first year, making it the worst game system in over a decade.

No, not remotely. You don't pack in an HDMI cable as a gimme to the big box retailers, who generally mark up $3 cables to $25+ and make a huge margin by selling these cables to ignorant customers buying new electronics.

Not that it really matters, anyway. It's bullshit when Microsoft does it with hard drives, it's bullshit when everyone does it with cables, and it's bullshit when Sony does it with proprietary storage media now. This is one of the most egregiously gratuitous and consumer-unfriendly way of tacking a margin onto an otherwise competitively-priced product; it's quite absurd to defend it.

If MK7's gyro controls work as well as they do in MKWii and Nintendo pimp that out in their ads for the game, it could do for MK7 what the Wii Wheel did for MKWii.

Sorry if this was already discussed, so is Nintendo now publishing Just dance in Japan?
If so it may be hinting at some good relationships going on between Nintendo and Ubisoft in general.

By the way I am glad Go vacation is up there; I hope it's going to sell well, although right now I am not personally much interested in purchasing the game I reckon it deserves public attention considering the effort has been apparently put in it, I am looking forward to more good stuff other than mainstream blockbusters.
