So I'm bored looking around Etsy for a bunch of random crap then, minutes later I run into the watch section and now I'm severely tempted by these two:

Both of these go for around $15 bucks and are Chinese made I believe as the seller's from China.

I know I could cop a better quality watch at a higher price, but $15 bucks seems like a steal.

Any thoughts?

Edit: here's another one that caught my attention lol.

I only like the top one. If you want to pay a bit more and ensure greater quality control, I'd recommend going with a Timex Weekender and a leather strap. It's a similar style to what you're looking for.

And a 20mm strap from here or here.

I'm having a hard time with buying proper shirt sizes and accounting for shrinkage.

do you guys buy a size larger and then shrink it down in the wash, or buy a proper fit and then wash cold and hang dry (or dry clean)?

Cold wash and hang dry.

I only dry clean my wool and linen stuff.

Would like to get Manshion Gaf's opinion here:

I've got a pair of (Godlike) trousers in a dark charcoal (pretty much black) wool cloth and I'm planning to get a bespoke vest(/waistcoat) made to match it. (Made from the same cloth).

Anyhow, what are your thoughts on getting lapels on the vest? Yay or nay? Whilst I ignore trends of the day, I'm still interested in what the "rage" is regarding these details.

(The trousers are slim fit, with a flat front and so the vest will be slim cut to match :)).

I'd say it would look fine on darker cloth, lighter fabric might look a little costume-y, if that makes sense (like an extra from one of those period pieces). Darker = more formal as people perceive it, so you can get away with a little more.

I'm not a vest dude at all so that's about all I can offer :p

I've been bulking this whole year and I finally ripped some pants. :(

One of my favorite pants too. Some awesome Gant Rugger cotton Chinos.

Oh well. Dat Squat Booty.

How do I reconcile my love of lifting and fashion?

Cool, cheers for the thoughts :)

Yah, I'm thinking about getting some lapels but I'll see what the tailor says too.

How long does it take for ASOS gear to arrive? Ordered my pants like a week and a half ago.. At least it was free shipping.

I might actually do this at some point. Bookmarked.

So I just discovered a pretty cool new service similar to F&O Hunt Club called Trunk Club, but you don't have to sign up for monthly boxes, don't get charged for shipping either way or for any items if you don't want them, and don't have any commitment. Comes with a free stylist too who chooses items to send you based on a phone call to you.

I have my first box on the way and I'll post pics & impressions when it arrives. But if you want to check it out, here's my link:

like im gonna let "lisa B" wearing a 6.99$ forever 21 scarf style me

Its less someone else dressing me up as much as its them finding items that I potentially may never see. I maybe go out to shop twice a week at max, and I cover the same stores every week hoping their stock has changed/is changing. I suppose in a developed market where online retail is necessary, customers have the option of shopping around the clock in a constantly changing and diversified store. Her, the online market is still emerging, thus this whole "Trunk Club" thing seems amazing to me.

Yeah but if your market is advanced then you get something like Trunk Club existing but if your market is advanced then you don't actually need Trunk Club.
