I don't think I'll mind, but the problem will most likely eventually come when I'm replaying the game I have repeatedly wait for those short minute loading times before acts.

Hey guys quick question,I have preordered MGS4 and if they have a pre-mgs4 launch event in my local Gamestop and my friends come to tag along with me and camp,so now my question is can my friends go in gamestop's event with out preordering MGS4?!

I read NJO way back when but yes I think Corran had a one on one duel with a commander dude and killed him, then they just ignored whatever deal it was and blew it up.

Agreed. I would have preferred one big install. I'm wondering how the install between acts will work for different users? If two different users are on different acts will they need to install every time the other user logs in? Or, the other scenario would be that each account preserves their own install...?

Not voiceovers, thankfully they dropped the idea after the terrible outcome of mgs1.
Subtitles, yes, and PAL version is multilanguage afaik.
Well, i know for sure english version has both english and italian subtitles.

So people who only speak Italian will be forced to play the game in English? Is this normally how it works? If so that sucks. A movie I can understand, but a game? Glad I'm not Italian right now.

Anyway, MGS4 in the mail to my house right now from Gamefly. MGS4, $45 brand new, bitches! :D

Damn, I was supposed to work tonight which would've killed time. I also had a test scheduled for Friday that got pushed to next week. Now I have nothing to do but stare at this thread for the next 8 hours. At least I don't have to worry about studying now, I know I wouldn't have done well with this coming out tonight.

I brought a friend who didn't have a preorder to my local EB for the GTAIV launch and he ended up walking out with a game. You'll probably be alright, worst case scenario you just leave them outside when you go to get the game.

I was going to take this week but decided next week would be a better choice. Since I work the nightshift I won't be able to play the game until super early saturday morning anyway.

I have a full week to beat the game twice and get tons of MGO action in :D

I stopped by Best Buy and one of the employees was dressed as MGS3 Snake. He had camo on, belts, bandana, it looked great. Thats how you get ready for a release.

I've just finished one of my major assignments that's due Friday so that I can free up all of my time to play MGS4...the wait for this game is killing me. And what makes it worse is that my friends don't want to go downtown to the midnight launch to get it with me...So it looks like I'm not playing till tomorrow morning !!!FUCK!!!

I just beat the first act and it took 3 hours and 55 minutes. So far this game is amazing and already feels like the best game ive played on this generation of consoles. There is just so much detail and so many different ways to go through all the areas, and the graphics are pretty incredible in some parts, especially the character models.

Also im not sure if anyones mentioned this but has anyone seen what happens when you keep pressing triangle to blend in with the statues yet?
I wasnt expecting the statues penis to fall off

OMG people have it, OMG I can't read the thread as I type this....
I still have 19.5 hours to go here (no midnight launch). I'm think of drinking myself into a timewarp and waking up ten minutes before they open. I really hope there is not some stupid line to sit through, thats what a night launch would have been for.

By the way, I just counted all the weapons I have, and I have almost 40 different types of guns. And I'm still missing a bunch. Incredible man.

When I said, how I love mgs games more for the story than the gameplay, well holy shit... MGS4 gameplay is right up there with the story now. Everytime I keep coming back to the pc for no more than 2 minutes, I keep itching to go back and play the game. It's insanely addictive.
