TPP is definitely similar but it seems a lot simpler in my opinionfinished the first level on PW

So if I could trouble those who've completed the game for some consultation:
Because of the pw blueprint evident in V I feared there would be some point in the story where gindy filler would be implemented in order to achieve a true ending. Thus far I progress by doing 2-3/side ops for every 1 main op, have 3 of 4 platforms for every unit except intel and I recently finished the mission involving the diamond mine. Should I perhaps up the ante on the side ops? Any advice for lessening the burden of dragging towards the end of the game would be helpful.

Basically you want to assign staff to the team that is most suitable for them. For example, if a staff member has a high rating for R&D then you should assign them to the R&D team.
Eventually you will be able to develop new weapons and items which are unlocked by levelling up your staff teams.

I finished Peace Walker HD last night...or so I thought.
I wanted to play Peace Walker and replay Ground Zeroes before playing Phantom Pain. I played Ground Zeroes when it first came out and didn't really understand what was going on because I had skipped PW.
Now I find out there's a "real ending" in Peace Walker. Damn you Kojima.
At the bottom of the list is an auto-assign option. Just use that if you don't want to think about it.

Hey guys, I'm looking to start playing the MG games cause of alk the hype with the release of TPP. I'm kind of familiar with the storyline but haven't actually played the games yet. Which is pretty lame considering I own quite a few. I was wondering, out of these, which should I start with? MGS1, 2, 3, Ghost Babel (not in English), Peace Walker. Or should I play MG1 and 2 first?

You can skip MG1 & 2. They're so damn difficult and oldschool.
Go with MGS1, 2, 3, PO (at least watch it on YT), 4, PW, GZ, TPP.

Never in all of my years have I followed a website so dedicated to hating one man's work like NeoGaf and its treatment of Kojima. Consistently shitty video games are released every year by the hundreds, yet MGS gets plastered on the wall as the number one pile of shit.

I have actually played PO and I really liked it. As for old school I dug the little I've played of MG2 but thanks I'm gonna start MGS1.
I don't know man the tone of your post comes off kind of fanatical about MGS and you taking the opinions of other people too personally.

If it saves to a file on your computer (are you even on PC) you could make a backup copy

This is HARDCORE!
It is weird, but PW is pretty easy to begin with so you don't really have to do the slow crawl.
Try sneaking up and using CQC when you can to ration out ammo. Later on you'll develop a signal flare that lets you call in a supply drop to restock but until then you just have to make do.

Crouch walking is good enough for PW, crawling isn't that necessary really. And yeah, CQC when you can, use the stun rod since it's got infinite uses (just needs a recharge between uses). Also, if you sneak up on someone and make them get on the ground, they'll stay there until you raise an alert. So you can just hold people up, stun them, cqc them, etc. and save your bullets for someone far away you can't get close to. The ai is pretty blind so they're not hard to do.

Yes, there's a number of how many fultons you have under the percentage of how successful extraction will be, every time you go back to the helicopter or start a main mission they're refreshed though.

Finally unlocked this guy. I completed some of the hardest mission tasks and now I'm off to sifting through everything to get that 100%.
I got my Japanese CE, it's nice, but i don't think it was worth the price though.
Did you end up regret getting it. ?

I actually like the small arm more.
i dunno... it doesn't speak CE quality tbh. Nothing epic about it. I rather spend good money to get something worth while. The extra contents of the CE were only 40 dlls. Compared to the 230 dll CE for TW3... tbh it had some really shitty painting jobs, but the ones that had the good paint looked amazing.
That is the point of a CE. The case is not even a leather box. Its printed. ~_~

Some people I know have told me about some weird shit they noticed whilst playing. One thing I've heard, but yet to experience, is that sometimes when your out in the field you'll here this weird ominous sound cue and if you look over your shoulder, there floating above you, you'll see kid mantis aflame for just a split second before disappearing into thin air.
Also, anybody find it odd that the only strut that plays music out of nowhere is the med center AND if you stand in the middle of the med center plaza, you know where the purple shooting gallery training icon is? Yeah, you stay in that area for a while and this strange dissonance fades in, drowning out the music......
