It's a Giant Bomb premium feature where Drew Scanlon who's never played the series before spent the last year playing through all the games. And they'll now be continuing forward with TPP. It's worth watching but with Giant Bomb being a subscription site, most probably won't.

Went on the Metal Gear wikia to check a specific detail that I couldn't quite remember about a specific character a 'lo and be-fuckin' hold there's a huge MGSV spoiler for me. Goddamn it. I WAS DOING SO GOOD TOO!

yup, the whole wiki is full of spolers. I'm willing to bet Wikipedia, TV Tropes and all other information sites like those are minefields too.

Just got it. Beat the intro...loved it.

Now I'm getting the installing/507 seconds message. Any advice? I've waited over that and still nothing.

Sadly at the moment it unlocks 5am tuesday 2nd September which is nuts but this might be a steam time issue because it might be basing unlock off another timezone and not proper NZ time.

The world wide unlock is basically the same for everyone right now as they're basing it on US time zone. (10am PST / 1pm EST) Which is why there's a lot of confusion was to whether it's really unlocking on the 1st for everyone but Japan.

GZ transfer doesn't work yet. TPP requires going online, and it won't let people with copies online yet to do the save transfer. There's an image floating around with what most people think will transfer, but no one will know for sure until someone can do it.

As much as I'm frothing for this, if the PC version unlocks early Monday like we all hope, but the save import is still down, I'll probably wait for the save import to be up before I start my play.

Just don't want to miss anything.

Fucksake. I accidentally went in the spoiler thread AGAIN.

I read a bit of info about the gameplay thinking it was the impressions thread, nothing bad by any stretch. Then I noticed a picture. Again, nothing too bad, but it was then i realised no one would post that in the impressio--- FUCK.

nope, When the steam timer hits zero it unlocks. not sooner or later.

The current unlock time can change between now and release, it's happened before -- or if it unlocks in another territory you can always use a VPN to get early access. Hence the whole "Hope" part of the statement.

I am well aware of the quote, however Valve is the one who changes the release date times. Konami can have Valve change that timer between now and release, or just flip the switch and release.

It's happened quite a few times, most recently with One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 and Final Fantasy Type-0.

I know but basically he was saying thats unlikely, they seem determined to stick to release date spite that Street date was broken and many have their copies already...

I hope too my friend... I hope too but my hopes are nearly crushed.

Which means the time HAS to change for some territories, or it won't be launching on 9/1 and instead be launching on 9/2. (NZ's timer currently has the game releasing at 5am on 9/2).

Morning, OuterGAF!

I got a text of DPD this morning saying they received my CE package off GAME. So it seems that today is the day that GAME are actually shipping out all preorders.

Just glad it's finally out their mitts to be honest. I have a lot more trust in DPD, never once have I received something late from them. They're even going to give me a one hour delivery slot on Tuesday too!

I have not clicked into the spoiler thread once because of it.

As far as I know, I am 100% unspoiled for MGSV. It's a nice feeling. Looking forward to seeing everything 100% fresh eyeballs.

As in, a plate of fresh eyeballs on my lap when I boot the game up. I like medieval French cuisine, what can I say.
