And according to reddit(I missed that part of the interview) He also said there is no way to get MB coins without Micro transactions.

Well damn whats the speculation on the cost of MB coins etc? Thats a kick in the nuts but I guess nobody lied saying "everything is unlockable within the game" But you don't get the complete experience without paying extra. Going to sound dumb but whats the benefit (if any) of having 4 FOB's? Just more risk/reward?
Guessing it'll be insanely hard to take anyone else's base with only 1 FOB, or it'll be otherwise difficult to win. So normal people won't be taking over your base. Griefers and 12 year olds with access to dad's credit card will be.
Or something. I dunno.

I don't like it, I also don't like the way Konami seems to play deaf and stupid when people question them on this. But at the end of the day I'm happy we can enjoy the FOB system, I just hope that those that buy MB coins and gain additional FOBs won't gain immense advantages somehow.
What I also don't like is that you can also buy invasion protection for your base. So Konami hasn't been truthful, their microtransactions aren't just to save time. It's becoming very clear now that their microtransaction model will offer things that are impossible to gain by simply playing the game.
So yeah, bottomline is that I'm glad that FOB itself is not behind a paywall, but Konami is disgusting.
FOB gameplay is like Global Thermonuclear War. The only way to win is not to play.
Kojima's lessons about deterrence on a meta scale.

and im guessing kojima put them in the game as rewards for getting to certain points but Konami forced him to go the microtransaction route
And who knows what else Konami hasn't released about it.
Just more resources that the FOBs generate for you.
Has any info been released on how FOBs modify resource generation? Are they basically essential for unlocking items in a reasonable time span?
I'm still curious about this amazing feature for importing a GZ save. Hopefully it didn't get cut and Konami is being silent on it.

Well.. you guys still have time to switch to the PC version. Won't get you the other FOBs but you can estimate how many resources you'd have if you did.
It hurts because how plausible Konami's actions make it seem.

I've seen a screenshot that showed the differences in resource generation for the various FOB locations, think it came from one of the gameplay demos not sure which one though.
Pretty sure you can trust him on that though, it's about microtransactions after all.
He claims they changed the time from 12am New Zeeland to Eastern recently. So maybe he was right at first.
I'm sure New Zealand PC players don't mind waiting until 7pm now. /s

So does the download for the PC version go live the night before release or on release? I am confused.
I mean if it unlocks at 10pm monday night(Midnight 9/1 east coast time) that's not to bad but I would've rather had the NZ unlock time.

Yeah if I didnt have the PS4 copy as well I would be pissed, its a fucking joke at this point. worst management I've seen on a steam release by a company but lets hope the port is top quality because thats all that is important in the end.

Damn, I just realized we're 100% not getting a Kojima Policenauts remake or sequel for sure now that he's left Konami. There was always that slim hope before.

I'm perfectly fine with the game as it is now personally. I don't think it needs a remake. I'm also not sure how a sequel would work anyway. The game ended pretty conclusively.
