Metal Gear Solid Community |OT4| God Bless the Chopper!

I'm perfectly fine with the game as it is now personally. I don't think it needs a remake. I'm also not sure how a sequel would work anyway. The game ended pretty conclusively.

Would have been nice to see how far his vision of the policenauts world could have gone with the technology we have today. It's basically a point and click adventure game.

I'm feeling really cynical all of a sudden.

Gut feeling that there's gonna be some kind of Konami controversy on release and it's gonna mess up the game big time :(

I'm fucking grossed out at the microtransaction shit.

The base invasions sounded so cool. I think i'm just going to never even do them. I'll let people invade and do whatever they want because that section of the game is dead to me.

MGO3 will probably also be a wasteland of pay to win garbage as well. Maybe i'll trade this game in after finishing it right away. cost them a new sale. I'm really disappointed right now.

FUCKING KONAMI GOD DAMN

We know nothing of MGO wait for details.

FOBs are optional* you have to create one to have one... and your resources will go there et or as in get resources from there. Dunno one big FOB is enough to me from the scale I have seen but. still if theres option to have more than one it should not be behind paywall.

Just had the following conversation with the wife:

Wife: My sister is going to put a sign on her new chicken coop. What should she put on it?
Me: Outer Heaven
Wife: ...I'm not asking you anything anymore.

Regarding the game's Microtransactions. I want to believe the designers did everything they could to make it as optional as possible. If only so they could give the upper management the biggest middle finger possible.

I suspect the FOB system was only meant to exist for one base. So they added 3 more just so they could provide a clear check mark saying "Microtransactions? We got those! SO STOP BUGGING US ABOUT IT!!!"

we should all just vow to never defend from invasions. Make the whole mode a joke. make the people who paid to win feel stupid.

I'd imagine so. I doubt any developer wants that shit in their game when they just want to make a fucking game.

I think it's just because the servers aren't ready yet. They couldn't even import GZ saves.

Which begs the question of why the save transfer needs an online server. Most games that have this function do it locally, so I'm wondering why this game needs the online for it.

Don't know why she said that. You gave her a good answer.

But the perfect answer is obviously P.S.F., Poulailler Sans Frontieres.

Where you get your copy? :|

I'm from a long forgotten south american country. A store called "La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo".

I can't say the name, lol, it's where I'm working and if someone - or something - spots me, I would be in danger

Guys, I know it's hard for all of you who are still waiting. But I will tell you that it is worth the wait. The game is the Joy itself.

Still scared about how Konami's servers will affect the game.

Seriously.

i'm trying to get an s on the operative rescue in gz, and it is not fun

is it possible to stun the guy in the helicopter?

It's my least favorite mission as well.

And yes, you can stun the last guy in the helicopter. Just aim slightly towards the right of his body (his left).

Peeler also confirmed in an Interview with on "the codec" podcast today that 1 of 4 FOBs are purchasable with GMP and the other 3 with MB coins only.
And according to reddit(I missed that part of the interview) He also said there is no way to get MB coins without Micro transactions.

I fuckin knew there'd be some shit like this. "Clash of Gears" type garbage. Of course microtransactions are optional. Buying the game is optional. Showing up to work is optional. Flushing the toilet is optional.

... As long as you're fine with the consequences.

I've had the game since Tuesday. Still not finished. If you guys have any questions for me, ask away (PM me if it involves wanting to know spoilers).

Just got through the ending credits on Peace Walker. Now, is there any reason to keep playing? How do access the Monster Hunter stuff?

The true ending credits? If so, idk it's up to you if you want to get all the parts/ai for zeke, build/upgrade all the weapons, beat all the missions, etc. Personally I'm fine with just beating all the missions once and getting most upgrades, some things elude me but I doubt I'll ever go back for them.

For the MH stuff you need to listen to certain Chico tapes, I forget which, so just play them all, then go to mission 29 and go backwards to the beach area, go up on the dock towards the cat and you'll get a short cutscene, that will unlock the first MH mission. They're not that hard, they just have a lot of health so bring rockets and supply markers!

Even one FOB is huge. It's essentially another motherbase in terms of how much you can upgrade and customize.
Yeah I'm fine with having just one FOB, when I first heard about it I thought you could only have one anyway. It'll probably be at least $5 worth of MB coins for another so I'll probably just stick with the one. Which, honestly, is enough for me because I don't want to worry about getting invaded more than I already will.

I don't think it's the 'true' ending. I know theres some revelation about Paz I didn't get. Stupid question, but how do you listen to tapes??
