i would totally do the same thing in your position though, so i'm not one to talk. i actually considered seeing if i could get my hands on a ps3 copy to play over the weekend, but then i remembered how that worked out when i played ground zeroes on there... resolution, LOD, and framerate are super important to mgsv's gameplay.

I've actually played it on PS3 and it's pretty good for the hardware but damn it's also unplayable for me...
the lag on the controller response is a killer. the resolution always fucked me up too because it was so muddy it became a pain to pick enemies out in poor visibility conditions.
so glad this is coming to pc. not sure i could have forced myself to play tpp on a ps3.

I don't know what version you played man, I have the PC version, it's the same as PS1.
I did need to find a fix for some display issues though, when I reinstalled it a few years ago.

I've heard a lot of complaints about the XBOne controller bumpers, which is so weird because to me the 360 controller was the best, minus the absolutely horrid d-pad.

Playing a MGS game with an xbox controller doesn't feel right.
I think ps4 is going to be my main play through just because of the controller tbh
