I hope it will deliver. It took me quite some time. At one point, I basically deleted the entire OT and started over. That was a few days ago. I hope the final result will be good enough.

Just to make sure: If I buy a physical copy it will come with a steam key? I'll never need the disc? Because I don't even have a disc drive. And before anyone asks why even buy physical: The steelbook looks pretty cool and it's cheaper than steam version =)

As for the real life footage segments, they are in the game, but they're green on modern systems. I seem to remember finding a solution for that years ago on Win7. Something about direct show filters or something. Can't find it now.

All in all, the PC version is fully featured. But true, if you don't want to fiddle around with things, either play on PS1, PS3, or emulate.

Right so I've had the game for 3 days now, for those of you who haven't gotten the game yet SERIOUSLY don't know what your in for. By far the best MGS ever to grace the earth.
I don't know what some of these reviewers were thinking by saying that the story "wasn't there", the story IS everywhere, shitloads of tapes, hidden cutscenes everywhere you look. Even one of the side ops missions that seemed straight forward, mutated into 2 different story missions ala TW3.

Tl;dr: Look everywhere and you will find the story, the reviewers clearly didn't play the game they way it's meant to be played.

Dawg, are there OT rules that must be followed with regard to length? I think the 38 post MGS4 OT was a bit ridiculous.

Edit: I echo everything Venom Fox has said about the game above me. Also, I played until about 2am last night and was so thoroughly spooked out that I gave up for the night. It was the early Afghanistan mission
where you seek to find a prisoner and retrieve a weapon
and the cutscene at the end of the mission was too much for someone sleep deprived.
