I'll need to re-listen to those tapes to get a refresher on the events, I haven't listened to them since January or so.

I'm leaving Chico's tapes for last, right now listening to some of the other tapes.

Obviously, the future was already set in stone since we're dealing with prequels but it's interesting how Huey, directly or indirectly, is in some form responsible for the fall of Boss and the creation of Outer Heaven. How he essentially defied Boss's order to deny the nuclear inspection caused the destruction of Mother Base and the death of many, many of Boss's soldiers.

I just realized that once I get my hands on this tomorrow night I'm going to have to fight the urge of looking up videos and discussions until after I've beat the story. I'll probably completely avoid the bombcast cause I just know one of them will slip something spoilery. It's gonna be hard! I love reading/ hearing other peoples opinions, but that almost always is followed by a spoiler of some sort.
