Metal Gear Solid V E3 2015 Trailer

Play them would be better. But You can always watch cutscenes of all of them and get the story. Though MGS2 may not reach you in its full potential if you don't play it.

You can watch the cutscenes of MGS1, 2 and 3, 4 and Peace Walker and know enough yes.

The games are very good. I suggest playing them.

You should play the games.

You should play the games. The impact is so much greater when you're actually with Snake all the way.

MGS4 is mostly cutscenes anyway. Great gameplay all around though.

Hmmm okay. I'll check the games out then. Was that hd collection for them any good? I don't have a PS1/2 to play them on that.

Even more mind fuckery that before. It's high time I finished GZ; perhaps even then I'd not know wtf is going on.

As someone who's been really doubtful of the Hayter conspiracies, I have to say, that really does sound like him at 0:30. Maybe I'm just hearing what I want to though.

I don't think Miller is blind. It's the reflection of the ocean because you see him stand on top look over Mother Base.

in the middle of replaying now.
Was way to long ago and you can say I missed out on all last gen, I honestly can't remember much of IV :( ANd played the Peace Walker demo to death so I didn't feel it when it was time for a proper release.

Btw, the Vita version good enough or are they as bad as many say? Please no big screen bias.

I recall that MGS2 runs at 30fps on Vita, compared to 60 even on PS2, but they're meant to be pretty good. Just get the HD collection and MGS1 on PS3 if you have it.

HD Collection was fantastic. Get it.

Guys, that was James Horan at 30 seconds, and it would only make sense he portrays Skullface to have a fluctuating voice given his background.

EDIT: Also, "words that kill" from Sins of the Father makes sense now, kinda.

There is 9 years between GZ and TPP. Doesn't mean anything that Skullface was there with Chico, a full 9 years back. He might've been real and the catalyst and changed Snake into what he becomes here.

But in this trailer its kinda obvious to me that he is an illusion. At least in those scenes.

What the crap are you talking about. Every time someone breathes out at the end of a sentence people start saying it's Hayter.

Between 0:30 and 0:46 you can sense a difference in the VA and how it delivers the lines, kinda like it were 2 different people saying the same lines and were edited to seem like one cohesive line. Not saying that it is definitely Hayter (not that I care) but it looks suspicious as hell.

So, all this 'V has come to' stuff, that's been there since the first trailer, do you think this refers simply to the game, or perhaps a 5th 'Snake'? I mean there's Naked/Big Boss, Solidus, Liquid, Solid. Is it possibly a hint of a 4th clone, or just referring to Big Boss changing to Venom Snake?

I'm really just curious as to other peoples thoughts/theories on this, whatever it might mean.

Or maybe, just maybe it means "Victory has come to..."

Love the "Big Brother" easter egg poster.

So let's take bets on whether Skullface is actually real or not, are we just in a coma the whole time battling psychological horror?

Yea, just took a look at that and he totally just appears out of nowhere.

Clearly intentional, you don't hint at a Tyler Durden situation if you want to have that twist.

Now the question is... who fucked up PAZ and why are there tapes describing Skull Face from Miller if Skull Face doesn't exist?

More questions than answers out of this

Also what was up with the spikes being shot up at BB in the jeep? It's like Dune all over again. BB is after the Spice. That's it!

Part of me thinks, and really hopes, that a good deal of this game is just about how psychologically fucked in the head Snake et. all are at this point with everything they've seen and done. So much of what we've seen kind of lends to that with the freaking giant whale, those crazy spikes coming out of the ground like the object in Snake's head in this trailer, plus so much more. It would be really cool if this were Kojima's take on Spec Ops The Line/Hear of Darkness/Apocalypse Now.

All the death, lies, torture and depraved shit that has gone on pushed to the limit to show just how horrible and horrendous it all is and what would really happen to anyone involved in something like this. The scenes with the Diamond Dog definitely feel that way as they all act like lunatics either freakishly mournful at their fallen comrades or jacked up like they're on drugs at the excitement of violence and combat.

Just noticed that Snake's horn is getting longer as he's walking through the hallway. Quiet is drenched in blood here yet Boss is clean.

If Skull Face isn't real in TPP, he was still real in Ground Zeroes. He interacted with people and did stuff. So far in TPP all he does is talk to Snake.

I think young Psycho Mantis will have a lot to to with all the weird chit that's going on in the game - likes he's controlling peoples (Big Boss's) mind to make all the weird chit seem like its happening...that or either Boss is really going crazy or the weird chit is actually all real - and knowing MGS - it probably is

Maybe Miller isn't talking about Skullface in the trailer? His name isn't mentioned at all in this trailer.

When those zombie things went nuts and launched, Mantis was all I could think about.
