Not sure if someone already noticed this, but the object that Big Boss pulled out of the guy's throat is a HEADPHONE:

The headphone has clearly been surgically implanted into the guy's throat for some reason. It also appears to be directly over his voicebox.

We then pan down and see the "sacks" pulsating on his chest.

So, is whatever's playing through the headphone giving "energy' to the sacks?

Would certainly tie into the trailer's theme of language and power ;-)

They're probably speakers. What better way to spread a message than through human PA systems.

That was a scrapped concept where Pliskin was meant to diguise himself by dyeing his hair blonde, but they just gave him his normal brown hair in the final game. And it's pretty clear that the strong lighting in the briefing room is the cause of his supposed blonde hair. As I said before, look at GZ, where everyone though BB had grey hair.

I think that was done on purpose as a visual callback to classic-style Big Boss. We never see his hair that colour again.

Even though this doesn't really count to most people, The Twin Snakes Briefing Videos were all ingame 3D and Snake had his regular brown hair but with a MGS2/3 Mullet. Kojima still had a part in that game even if he wasn't the director.

Why the hell wouldn't they have the story of Metal Gear in a new Metal Gear Game. This isn't a reboot.

I never said it was? I said I wish they'd leave the story in the gutter where it is now after so many games and just focus on the great gameplay in a new IP. Or at least a new "Metal Gear" series which is disconnected from the events of Snake's story.

4 and Peace Walker ruined the MGS story beyond repair. It's silly to keep stretching it out like this.

It might not be a mirror, but the phrase "mirror image" is correct. They have the same scars even.

That's not what I'm saying. It's just edited that way. You know when you make a video you can superimpose stuff to create an effect on the viewer.

Don't take everything literally. It's not necessarily real.

The first time I watched the trailer, I didn't find it great just like many of you. It wasn't classy liek the last year's one where the choice of music followed the scenes. Now that i rewatched again, I found it more intriguing and raises many questions. This trailer just feels uncomfortable and I think it was the purpose of it and it fulfileld its goal. It's another type and vision of trailers which is anotehr kind of greatness.
