Correct.is it really finite resources?
First, arent all the missions and side ops replayable? meaning you could keep fultoning people and resources from those missions ad infitum since theyre not gonna give you an empty base once you replay it.
Second, my reading from the video about the FOBs were they were like mobile game mining in their purpose. you build 1 FOB and it mines resources for you are while away at +5 per second or something. This is what the Invader will be stealing. The stuff that you get from that mining. Not the stuff from your MB unless you purposefully put that stuff in the FOBs.
Anything attached to your singleplayer motherbase is unstealable...
So Staff, Resources, Equipment on your MB cannot be taken, period.
However its unknown if the staff you inhabit during FoBs invasions/defence are FoB staff or your MB staff because we saw snake in the list of selectable characters, at the moment we assume its MB staff but they are unkillable in FoB invasions/defences and simply end up in your medical centre back at your MB when taken out in FoB combat and thus why they dont show up again in your selectable characters. This is reinforced by the fact snake is in the character list as well because you cant really kill the main character, however if we do have perma-death on characters then it just adds to replayability and risk vs reward mechanics.
Worded below part badly...rewrote it.
GMP is acquired by doing missions and replaying them. Heroism is acquired by completing feats like tactical takedowns and the like. Resources are generated by MB, acquired in the field by characters and gathered by FoBs. You use GMP to build/research equipment and items. You use resources to expand MB and FoBs. I dont know what heroism does, might just be your badass meter.
What is finite is pickups in the world, caches of items like diamonds, tapes or recordings, etc. Works the same as GZ where you cant reacquire things like xof patches and casette tapes once you have collected them.
