Post-Episode 31 question:
How/Where do I deploy my Battle Gear?

Some Post-Episode 31 story spoilers:
You know, I'm really struggling to get my head around Skulllface's motivation and his master plans. I guess that's par for the course for MGS though. Most of the stuff surrounding Code Talker is also a touch confusing, even with the variety of tapes.

DD is so damn awesome, it fits my play style so well, it makes all other Buddies useless.

On my second playthrough, I wanna try and go guns blazing so maybe I'll use Quiet and D-Walker some more.

I'm trying to finish whatever's necessary in Ground Zeroes before I move on to Phantom Pain. I completed Deja Vu, Ground Zeroes, all the side ops, and got all the prisoners of war and persons of interest.

However, looking at this link: http://m.ign.com/wikis/metal-gear-s.../Ground_Zeroes_Save_Transfers_and_Unlockables

I count 20 unlockable soldiers for Mother Base in Phantom Pain and only 19 total extractable persons of interest and prisoners of war in Ground Zeroes. Am I miscounting somewhere or how does that make sense?

Why do I have mission 46 and not 45 :|

Do I need to send my crew to do the yellow blipped combat mission?

Do you have any idea how you got 46? I've done 45 but can't get 46 for the life of me.

To get 45,
Max out your bond with Quiet and do all yellow side ops

Couldn't have said it any better. So damn true...

I don't think I did anything special. I've just been completing white side ops hoping to unlock more main missions.

Do vehicles you get delivered to you automatically go back after you go back to base, or do you have to re-fulton them?

You only use it on "combat deployment" missions.
seems like another thing that was cut, considering the games build up for it

So I have the third level of Fulton researched that's supposed to let me Fulton vehicles, but I can't seem to equip it at my loadout screen. Fultoning vehicles still give me a 0% also. Anyone know what the deal is?

sorry if this has been answered already, but does the story ever pick up? I'm loving the gameplay but I'm really missing the mgs level of cutscenes and story. I'm currently on mission 12.

Regarding Quiet's story arc end

So if I lock Quiet out by using the butterfly emblem and then play until the end, and replay other missions then can I still get her ending in some way?

Question.
Does playing as other soldiers prevent you from forming a bond with buddies as its not boss?
Been ignoring boss on all side ops as i dont see a point when he has zero personality with no lines anyway.
Instead been using a badass female soldier with high stats i found.

thoughts on buddies after playing this game through twice and s ranking majority of missions
d-dog: lazy version of quiet. Less manual control version of quiet. Only advantage is indoor areas. also very vulnerable buddy
D-horse: pretty usefull to have a teleporting horse, nuff said
Quiet:Absloute God, can deal with any situation, with the only con being see requires a lot of micromanaging, but micromanaging is a big pro for me personally.
d-walker: still haven't used it......

Man, mission 23 was great, really digged the ending and the cutscenes, some spoilers about it.

Its not over yet Snake, not over yet!

So all my Units are full and I can't build a bigger platform right now. If I fulton up a superior unit will he automatically replace an inferior one or do I have to cycle them out by hand?

D-Walker is D-Horse on steroids.

Is that the last mission in the game?

Mission 11:

I had finished mission 7 at this point and I was on my way to a side-op when a wild boss battle appears! Didn't expect that at all and I loved the surprise. A really great moment spoiled, though, by Big Boss matter-of-factly not giving a shit that a sniper with superpowers wants to take his head off. Just another boring day in Afghanistan, right Boss? The further along this game gets, the more ridiculous and stupid Mute Snake is.

The sniper battle itself was pretty good but it obviously doesn't compare to The End. I was questioning why Quiet didn't turn invisible while USING her sniper rifle, though, instead of only turning invisible while running. Maybe in another 10 hours I'll get an explanation in a tape.

Has anyone else ran into a problem on the PS4 version where you can't start the game?

I just keep getting an error saying This save data cannot be used as the relevant downloadable content was not found.
Downloadable content can be re-downloaded from the PlayStation Store.

There is nothing on the PlayStation store for me to download and I can't do anything now. It worked fine since launch day and even earlier today but now it won't work for some reason.

About mission 16
What's the best way to kill the skulls? I swear I jump in the tank and I might get lucky and kill maybe a couple.

I've had a cutscene of
Code Talker telling me to keep an eye on Miller
so I guess I'm close.

Have you had the
we will make diamonds from their ashes
bit from the trailers yet? I think that's the latest story beat I've had so it might unlock after it.

Calling in my chopper to rain death down on my enemies while it's blasting No Remorse by Metallica is probably one of my favourite gaming moments.

I stopped giving a fuck about the Tranq Gun in Episode... 9? 10? Grabbed a suppressed shitty Russian pistol and went to town on the Soviets.

I dunno why. It just felt right. Grabbed a shitty bolt action rifle in Episode 12, suppressed rifle, and my silenced pistol and I'm just laying waste to everyone.

Big Boss ain't got time to play nice anymore.

Are you at the door at the back? Because that's the door you need to go through. The other ones wouldn't open but that one did and I had the entire base searching for me. :P

Both of them
were locked, but during a sandstorm the side one opened up, strangeee

I'm definitely liking the game, but honestly still not understanding where all those 9's an 10's are coming from. Also with this open world and the mission structure i am having a hard ass time getting into the story. Or more like...what story? Compared to the previous MGS games there are so little cutscenes and i really miss those. MGS3 had the perfect combination of things in my opinion. You played a few parts and then you got a cutscene explaining things some more. It also had the perfect pace.

Maybe i'm just not far enough into the game yet, but boy...this feels so damn different and i just can't truly get used to it. I was talking to a buddy of mine in the party today about the game. He said the open world could have been a lot more interesting if they added some things. He named a few examples like...how they could have added some civilians in Afghanistan in/outside their homes or have soldiers actually capturing them and putting them into trucks or have fights going on there. Put some crowds in there, a bit similar like AC, cause say what you want about AC, but they get that right.

I truly think the game could have benefitted from some towns, like in Witcher 3, with people just doing their things. Yes i know MGS is not an RPG, but it sure has some RPG elements and this IS an open world after all. Ah well....that said, i am enjoying it. But in no way is this game a 9, let alone a 10 for me....yet. Hopefully that'll change.

I did that bit quite some time ago, it must have some weird unlock criteria.

Speaking of that bit though
it felt so brutal to execute all those infected men.

Oh and while I remember. Someone asked here if you can get anything for Snake in the head slot. You can, but it's way late in the game as I got it around the 50h mark.

So you're just killing everybody? You're gonna miss out on all the upgrades!

Done with Mission 7 and got my Medical Platform. Glad it won't cost me a thing. Even managed to snag me a bear. That motherfucker took so many sniper shots and just wouldn't die. Good thing it went to sleep eventually.

And I managed to get that "scene". You can't fool me. I know the truth
