I was one of those demanding a next gen version of Last Light, because i wanted those graphics. But i have to say redux isn`t what i wanted. I would have prefered 30 frames with the rest of the hardware resources going to the graphics stuff.
Their choice to go with 60 frames..., yeah is the reason i`m not impressed with what i see. I expected more.
I dunno... I mean I can't give an objective answer until I sit down with Redux tonight, but I have played Shadowfall and think that, from the gameplay videos that I've seen of Redux on Gamersyde, that it looks super polished and easily on par with KZ:S.
The wall textures are completely different too. I watched some PS4 benchmarks, and the framerate was a rock solid 60, so here's hoping for you PS4 guys that you get a 1.2Gb update too.

he is comparing the original metro 2033 to the new redux version. they removed the volumetric lighting from the PC version as well. I think that's the PC version.

Just play Redux, on average the improved character models, outdoor lighting, weapon models and animations, etc... should lend to a better experience. Even though it may be disappointing that they decided, for no reason, to cut off some effects here and there.
Prime example:
Metro 2033 original PC (volumetric light, cloth pyhsics, gun blast causes shadowing, blast shield can have bullet holes fired into it which cause volumetric lighting to pour through ala The Division) http://a.pomf.se/esxdhr.webm

Well since, besides the choice I had for buying the PS4 or Xone version, I chosed the Xone (it was almost 10 dollars cheaper each in my case), I hope it is indeed looking and running as good as the PS4 version except for the resolution. I trusted on DF comparison.
Definitely affected the performance as you'd expect Went from a steady 60 with no drops at max to a very steady 60 with some minor drops to around 55 for brief periods of time.

This game is being weird to my Steam client. I preloaded the whole thing the day it was available, and ever since then every time I reopen steam or re downloads the last gigabyte or so of the game. Now I launched the game for the second time and the first time setup popped up again.
Can you explain why there's absolutely long load load times on the XONE versions? I've been here sitting for about 2-3 minutes now staring at a loading screen.

Lol, yes. And I have tessellation at very high. You will be fine, with my 670 I could play the original version at around 50 FPS average.
Still can't believe they brought over Metro: Last Light's terrible inventory system. Broken on Ranger Hardcore because you have no UI. You have to hold tab and use the mouse to switch between invisible icons, going by sound >_>
Original 2033 way where you held all items was perfect. Oh well.

I would appreciate if there was a fix for it soon. Just find it out this wasn't mentioned in the reviews or preview builds. I loved Metro but these are the longest loading I've experienced in a long time and it interrupts the pacing and the fun of the game.
They should have gone with 30 on this one, it's suppose to be an atmospheric survival game, graphics and effects takes a first priority in this case, framerate isn't as important, 30 is good enough for such game.
They really messed up with their decision to target 60 (which reminds me- PLZ ND don't target 60 for UC4!)
