In the new November play magazine I heard that Retro Studios was interviewd and stated that at the last minute they were able to add the screw attack move in the game.

Anyone know if this is true?

If Pre-E3 = Last Minute, then yes, it is true.

If this means screw attack as a weapon (and not just a wall jump), then I'll be happy. As of E3, the screw attack was just cool looking wall jump, though they were mulling over turning it into a weapon.

opps, my bad. I always thought that was just the space jump move.

Space Jump and Screw Attack seem to have been combined into one move. Wall jumping requires the Screw Attack but is not its only use. You can Screw Attack anywhere in the game by simply pressing the jump button three times. It is meant primarily for exploration (since it essentially lets you fly over tremendous horizontal distances, and you can even turn while flying to make a large circle), but it will hurt enemies and may be particularly useful against certain ones.
