The guy calls himself idiot and asshole throughout the whole video for some reason, he says that he that he has never played a Metroid Prime before but he has a nintendo channel which I find weird and frankly quite stupid. He said as well that he played around 20 hours and the game is amazing, feels very much next gen compared to previous nintendo game. And he was invited by Nintendo to play this which means he probably is sponsored to say good things about it.
I personally wouldn't take this guy's opinion serious anyway but that's just me
Isn't that exactly what they did initially and everyone just went "looks just like any other Prime game". Just digging through an old thread based of off the earlier footage that was only based on first-person gameplay:
looks like a mod for the original metroid prime , very underwhelming

I don't think so. They've been showing 1 minute trailers and a portion of these are cinematics. Here you have lengthy gameplay that shows how the game works. And it's using the S2 version. Lots to unpack in this footage.
Nintendo not showing much or a bland desert open area leads to mixed reception and driveby shitposts of people who are never going to buy the game anyway.
The marketing has been really weak compared to Zelda and especially Kirby.

There's been lots of public of demos of the game featuring the first person perspective. Nintendo Treehouse even uploaded 17 minutes of 4K footage of the Switch 2 version back in April.

Replaying the first 15 minutes across several months is not much to go on nor does it illustrate the scope of the game since it takes place on Viewros. It's a good preview when it was first showcased but a few months before release it's not good enough. Not even close.
That said if previews drop today as you are suggesting then I'll be a happy camper.

I'm not really trying to argue their advertising have been good or bad. Just that they did show 'classic' gameplay that looked great visually a while back, and lots of people complained about it.
