Something that I think should be noted:
Snake's facial expression when giving the "Kept you waiting, huh?" line has changed drastically from PAX 2012. I should point out as well that the facial expression for Skull Face stayed the same... So, that's why I have a feeling that we're in for a bit of a surprise when Ground Zeroes starts.
Really pulling at threads here guys. All that means is they've implemented Kiefer's facial acting.
NeoGAF is really freaking on this one. Everyone needs to chill out and stop flaming each other. I'm somewhat disappointed with the voices, but they are not horrible by any means. I think they shouldn't have let go of David Hayter the way they did, but people need to stop hyperbolising on both sides. IMO people should chill about gameplay as well, honestly we don't know jack and should stop assuming the addition of open world, enemy tracking (already similiar to Soliton Radar, just longer range), slow-mo recovery time etc. will be good or bad. People should understand Kojima is going way out of his comfort zone with this one, and he might not end up with a perfect game that simultaneously captures the exact classic gameplay of MGS1/2 and transforms it into an open world adventure to rival other games in the genre. He might not even end up with a "great" game. But if Kojima wants to make the game he is making, I say go ahead.
He probably doesn't want to create "classic" MGS anymore and is experimenting with ideas he's never considered or may not have considered had he not tried to already end the franchise with MGS4. Fact: none of us here have played a MGS game in full open world gameplay, it might just be too hard to handle without "scouting" gameplay. Only Kojima and his team know how to tune their game, as they are the only ones to have played it thus far. I find it strange how so many people complain about this, that, or the the other thing, while many of the same people also complain about "Konami forcing Kojima to keep making Metal Gear". Just leave the man to his creative freedom, whether that be to drastically change his longstanding franchise, or make a new one. He's clearly not just making a game for Konami to cash in on hardcore fans, because he's not afraid to ignore them and their outcries to "stay the same".
TL;DR, people need to chill out, the defendants are too lenient, the haters are too harsh. In the end Kojima is seemingly making the game he wants to, not being obligated to pump out a forced end to a franchise he himself never intended to. With this game, it seems like he has passion for what he is doing and that's why I'm excited. It could end up being a failed attempt at AAA open world gameplay, but Kojima is going into untold territory here, let's give him the benefit of a doubt to leave behind tradition.
