Anyone see the Passionate Eye last night on CBC? They ran the documentary about Jackson's changing face over the years. I think it was originally a british doc, they kept referring to him as "wacko jacko". Kinda felt bad for the guy, seems like a pretty screwed up life.

Suposedly, he has vitiligo, which is basically a lack of melanin which provides skin color and UV protection. It started on his hand, which explains the one white glove he used to wear. My guess is that it started to spread to more obvious areas and he started receiving skin treatment (bleaching) to cover it. In his interviews, he's said that he's never bleached his skin, which to me shows he's in denial. Most people with vitiligo learn to live with it. Jackson has, or has had lots of money, so i he can pay to have it treated and act like it never happened, although there's been an obvious change in his skin color.

Ya he "revealed" that way back in the Oprah interview (which I happen to have on tape somewhere) Supposedly he uses white makeup to "smooth" all the white blotches out. One guy in the documentary had a point though, why does he smooth it out with white makeup instead of brown makeup since he's not a white guy?

Really? i only remember the more recent interviews. i just did a Google, and found a few articles that confirm. Odd that i never remember it being made "official".

Ya, I can't believe he denies the surgery....pretty weird. But is there really such a thing as "skin bleaching"?? I mean how the hell do you "bleach" your skin to make it white?

There is another documentary that shows unedited footage from that documentary, so much stuff was taken out of context and cut and paste to make Jackson look like an idiot.

I was talking about his interview with Oprah where he denies the plastic surgery. I have it on tape, it wasn't cut up. She asks him directly about what he's done to his face and he said he only had surgery for his head scars from the Pepsi ad. I'll have to dig it up and watch it again.

There was no cutting or editing when the interviewer asked him if he has *any* plastic surgery. The film kept rolling and he said the only thing that was done was because of the Pepsi incident. There was no cutting, dubbing, murmering etc. It was one uncut section.
